He nods absently, not fully processing everything yet. It'll take a while to sink in.

"Thank you." He flexes the fingers of his injured hand slightly. "Very much. And I'm sorry about the mess."

He shakes his head at the offer, glancing around to take in his surroundings. "Well, on second thought, maybe water. Plain... water. If that exists here."
