Lucy comes downstairs, and (after getting tea) begins to work on a list.

It is a very important list.

She does not seem to be having much luck with it.

Lucy looks up at him and smiles. "Hello."

"Is this seat taken?"

[called_lioness]

"Not at all." She gestures to it.

"Thanks."

He sits down.

"I'm Guppy, nice to meet you."

He holds out his hand for her to shake.

She takes the hand, shaking it. "Lucy Pevensie. It's nice to meet you as well."

"Where are you from?"

[called_lioness]

"London. And yourself?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Holby. It's near Wales. I work in the hospital there."

"Are you a doctor, then?"

Guppy nods. "Yes. What do you do?"

"I'm a student, actually."

"What do you study? Or are you still at school."

[called_lioness]

Wry smile, "Still at school."

[guppy_sandhu]

He sips his coffee.

"What do you want to do when you're older?"

[called_lioness]

Lucy thinks.

She knows how to rule a country, and how to hunt, and how to dance.

But she supposes those aren't going to be very useful in England.

"I don't know."

[guppy_sandhu]

He smiles. The pager on his belt suddenly buzzes. He pulls it off and has a look.

"Looks like I have to go. Nice talking to you."
