After wandering around outside for a bit, Kim's back in the bar and eating french fries.

The bar's mood has improved a lot over the last day or so and she's kind of wondering why.

Kim looks over at the unfamiliar woman and smiles back.

"Hellew," says the unfamiliar woman to the nice blonde Bauer.

Although the nice unfamiliar woman probably isn't aware she's talking to a Bauer.

"Hi," Kim smiles again.

But the mun is certainly aware that she's talking to a Bauer.

"My name is Shoreh. What's yours?"

"I'm Kim, I don't think I've seen you here before."

"I am new. I have only been here a few days."

Kim nods, "It takes a little bit of time to get used to it."

"Have you been here long?"

[agirllost]

"A few months, which isn't that long but long enough to get at least somewhat used to it."

"Do you like it here?"

[agirllost]

"I think I like it here more than some of the people I know." She says after a moment. "You?"

She looks down sadly. "I miss my son. I wish he was here."

Chase's mood has improved only slightly since earlier. He hugs her, a bit poutily. The skirt gets in the way. "Hi," he says gloomily.

She hugs him back and smiles a little, "Hey," she kind of straightens the skirt just a little, she can't help it.

"Did you get recruited for the circus too, or was I the only one who couldn't escape?"

He lets her adjust the skirt without complaint. Anyone else who tried that would be felled by a swift karate chop to the neck.

"I managed to avoid that," Kim smiles a little, "Plus, I don't think I have any circus like skills."

"Yeah, well, neither do I, but that didn't stop them from blasting a megaphone in my ear and signing me up." He sighs. He decides not to mention that he very narrowly escaped having to breakdance. "I'm doing the technical stuff. Want to help, or are you just going to stay away from the whole thing like all the other people with sense?"

"Technical stuff? Sure, if they need help."

"I don't know how much help is really going to be needed. They don't seem like they've planned much of it out yet."

"I think you got roped into it because they need someone to lift heavy objects," she smiles at him.

"Well, I kind of volunteered to do the backstage stuff because it was either that or perform." He shrugs, with a slight smile.

"Hey, did you ever watch the Magic School Bus cartoons when you were little?"

"I didn't know you had any circus skills," Kim tilts her head.

"Um, I think Meghan might have watched them."

"I don't. They were trying to get me to breakdance."

He shakes his head. "Anyway, I was just asking because I actually ran into one of the characters. The really perky teacher. It was...kind of an experience."

"Did you go on a field trip?"
