Chase is back in the Bar, but he's not eating anything. He's sitting at a table with his head in his hands, thinking frantically.
Field agents tend to be violent when startled. Best to approach him from the front and make sure he sees you coming if you're going to distract him.
And distracting him might be a nice idea, because he's giving himself a terrible headache and doesn't seem inclined to stop hurting his brain any time soon without intervention.
