"A lightsaber training outfit," Ray answers. "I'm fastening some flexible solar energy collection panels- basically, photosensitive resistors spread out over a much wider area than usual- to this shirt and to a pair of trousers. I'm then going to retreat to a suitable room and turn off the lights, and I'll take out a maglite- which is to say, a flashlight of approximately the same mass as a standard lightsaber handle- and practice some of the forms of Chinese sword-based martial arts with the light turned on. If the beam of light from the flashlight ever intersects one of the panels, it'll close the circuits I've already built into the shirt, and a warning alarm will go off. That's my cue that if I had been using a real lightsaber, I'd have just cut off my arm or my leg or something."

"Oh, uh, for reference's sake, a lightsaber is an energy-bladed sword used by the Jedi around here. Hi, Sooty. How're you?"
