Lilly is carrying her own bottle and smiling as she spots Wash.

"What up, sai? I see you got a souvenir too."

"Whole crew did, not just me." He taps the bottle with his fork and smiles. "Which is both very thoughtful on Crowley's part and kind of disappointing on mine. That looks good."

"Vanilla Rum," Lilly says, beaming.

"Crowley brings the best presents ever. Remind me to get him something from Vegas, if for whatever reason he can't come with us. Hell, even if he can come."

"...Vegas?"

Cue the eyebrows.

Cue the wicked grin.

"That's where we're kidnapping Mal to, for his birthday. It'll be a lovely surprise, don't you think?"

Raven settles himself across from Wash.

"One of these does not quite belong, I think."

He grins.

[flybywash]

Wash returns it. "Presents for the crew from Crowley," he says, gesturing toward the alcohol and spices. "I almost don't know which one to be more excited about."

Raven laughs.

"I think the alcohol, perhaps. Though spices may be rare, where you come from. I am uncertain."

He blinks.

"You might be equally excited about them?"

[flybywash]

"Mm, not so much 'rare' as 'very useful in making bad food edible.' And they'll probably last a hell of a lot longer than the alcohol, too."

He eyes the bottle thoughtfully.

"It is wrong," he says solemnly, mostly to himself, "to open something that's meant for the entire crew before they have a chance to see it."

Raven blinks innocently.

"I could hold it in trust for you, until you leave tonight. That way you will not be tempted."

[mogget_cat]

*A white cat slinks down the bar, pausing to sniff at the milkshake.*

*Intelligent green eyes glance at Wash, wondering if the cat could get away with stealing the milkshake.*

Wash blinks.

"Uh. Hi," he says, and moves his milkshake a few inches away.

[mogget_cat]

*The cat blinks lazily at Wash and follows the milkshake.*

"I know nothing about cats and I still know that you aren't supposed to drink milk. Or have chocolate." Beat. "Or maybe the last part's dogs, but this is still my milkshake and not yours, kid."

To compensate, though, he gives it a quick scritch behind the ears.

*The cat might seem to latch onto Wash's hand somehow, for now it's head is being pushed against the scritching fingers, willing the scritching to continue by sheer force of purr.*

Kaylee. Also in booth. With scarf!

"Wei."

"Kaylee! Hey!"

He nudges the bottle and spices toward her, beaming.

"Look what Crowley got us."

Kaylee doesn't know what to be more thrilled about -- the alcohol or the spices.

She reaches for the alcohol first. "Shiny -- hey, I bet he left me this, too. Kinda goes with the theme." Gesturing to the scarf.

[flybywash]

Wash knows very little in the way of fashion -- you know, kind of in the same way Earth-That-Was tended to revolve around the sun. But it's a brightly-colored scarf, so he approves. "Hey, yeah. Nice."

He scoots the spices back. "You think we can get away with opening that now that I'm not the only member of the crew who knows it exists?" he asks, nodding to the rum.

Kaylee looks Tempted.

Crowley would Approve.

"...only if we drank the whole thing so they couldn't find out about it, and if we drank the whole thing they'd kinda end up finding out about it anyhow, you know?"

*An Andrew wanders by.*

*He's carrying a fairly deep baking pan covered in tinfoil.*

....That's interesting.

Wash cranes his neck a little to try and get a better look.

"Nefarious experiment or really good food?" he asks. Beat. Curious, "Or a nefarious experiment that resulted in really good food?"

-- oh hey, Wash. Uh, really good snack food. That probably got its start as a nefarious experiment.

Want some?

"The best kind of food there is. Shiny." He grins. "Ain't gonna turn it down if you're offering."

The French toast and milkshake are pushed aside.

*Andrew reaches into the pan and pulls out ... a disturbingly tall square of layered, uh, stuff.*

*There's chocolate involved.*
