Cally blinks and closes her mouth, which had fallen slightly open.

"Hallo," she says, stammering slightly because she has been caught staring.

"I...," she trails off, since 'I was just staring' is a pretty obvious statement and 'What is that?' comes off as rather rude. And since Cally had already been staring, she doesn't want to make this first impression any worse.
