Hades is Sulking*.

* This means that he is currently over by the fire, sitting in a stiff way on one of the couches. He's on the right side, arm on the arm, hand curling over the edge. His face is carefully blank, but to say that he looks even remotely happy would be vastly wrong. He's not drinking, though.

He does look, however, as though he hasn't slept for a while. The dark circles under his eyes are pronounced, and for some reason his features seem more forbidding than usual. His mouth is set in a straight line, and those who are particularly observant will notice that his jaw is clenched tightly.

His eyes? -- they stare directly into the fire.

Niki's at a table, her vocal part set out in front of her, biting her thumb in a bored manner (she isn't). There are two glasses by her right elbow -- one empty, the other half-full of water. Her hair's done back neatly, more in a modern style than that of the 50's. After a couple of moments or so, she seems to decide that this isn't really what she wants to be doing with her time right now, and, closing the heavy-duty black folder, pushes it to the side of the table, contenting herself with what we like to call 'people-watching'.

It must be said that she doesn't seem to be putting that much effort into it, as her thoughts are currently going something like, 'I wonder if I should just get a book,' since, really, people-watching isn't the most productive activity in the world.

David has tea, and thusly he is perfectly content.

Still in his work uniform, Shaun pops in just long enough to post a notice on the message board. Noticing the debt collection posting, he mutters a curse and leaves a handful of notes and assorted coins on the bar.

His tab is now... marginally smaller.

Instead, she finds a pub.

Someone has aquired an iPod today. With the music turned up the harsh words of Rammstein can be picked up as he types away at his little laptop paying no attention to the rather large chicken sandwhich or pile of fries. A half empty bottle of Pepsi sits off within arm's reach though the majority of the tabletop is covered in papers. Floor plans, computer code, lists of supplies- everything is there that he would no doubt need to return somewhere.

If you look close enough you may just find some doodles of zombies and someone blowing them up. Really. He's hard at work.

So hard at work if you peek over his shoulder you won't notice the Bejewelled game going on. Or you may be able to sneak away a fry or two...Totally botherable.

As opposed to much of the rest of bar, David's helping himself to a nice big dollop of peace and quiet.

He's holed up in one of the corner booths, with a blanket slung over his shoulders, looking quite warm and content. He's drinking hot cocoa, both hands around the mug. It looks a little like those campsites you make in your room, where you get two chairs, a blanket, and a flashlight, and make a fort, except he hasn't bothered to make a fort. And he doesn't have a flashlight. Or two chairs.

But he does have a blanket.

And hot chocolate.

Sometimes it seems like the Thunder Plains are never going to end.

Yuna is sitting at a table by herself; if you saw her the last time she was here, there's not much else to say. It's the same, maybe a little worse. She's damp and muddy and fairly battered; her expression is composed and serene, but there's not much to be done about the mounting exhaustion.

(It's impossible to sleep; even if you get used to the thunder, you can't get used to the way Rikku screams every time she hears the thunder.)

She has a cup in front of her; it's not tea. It's rum. The cup is fairly small, but on the other hand the bottle is not.

Celebrating with James, apparently, had not been enough. Sarah Jane comes into Milliways today with a huge smile on her face. She takes a seat at a table somewhat close to the door, where she can see anyone who might walk in and out. When a waitrat passes by, she orders a pot of green tea - it's the closest to a celebratory drink she'll allow herself right now.

This is, quite possibly, the second best news she's had in a while. Still rather recent, she had found out that she was having a daughter. And now, she's found something quite as good.

Sarah Jane Smith-Bond? Is now once again employed.

This is a really bad idea.

I'm not very good with the patients back home, now I bump into my predecessor at Life Support at the end of the universe and he thinks I should run his clinic a couple times to get my confidence up.

So now I'm sitting here with this sign, feeling a total wally. At least he's only over there, sipping a pepsi and probably laughing at me, so I can send anyone over I can't handle or... isn't human.

Toby looks somewhat awkward as he sits in Guppy's usual spot near the infirmary. But at the same time, it's sort of nice to be trusted with it.

About ten yards from Toby, far enough away to give him space but close enough to be frantically waved at if he gets out of his depth, is Guppy. Who is drinking a pepsi and learning his lines for the staff pantomime.

Either entirely botherable.

First Entrance

Dead is not, strictly speaking, the most appealing state of being. However, it's an unavoidable one to all humans, especially to those who have had themselves mauled by zombies.

Like David, for instance. Having been in the unfortunate position of being in front of a window when the zombies broke into the pub, he was promptly nabbed and pulled out into the street, where he was devoured, but not before his legs were popped off in an attempt by his friends to pull him back into the pub.

At present, he's lying on the floor of Milliways, and, contrary to the description above, he's perfectly whole. Just a little bit bloody, 'a little bit' here meaning 'very'. Also, he's more than a little bit dead.

He's also having a little bit of trouble figuring out what the hell is going on.

"Aren't I dead?" is his first thought. Getting to his feet, he immediately begins to wobble, shedding more blood on the floor.

Pardon him if he falls on you.

Several small people arrived in Milliways today. Several of them found each other. And they were all rather bored, so what better solution than to start a game?

Hide-and-seek, to be exact.

So there are now a lot of children hidden around the bar, and a proto-Lucifer leaning against Bar with his arm covering his eyes.

"Fourteen... fifteen... sixteen..."

When he reaches thirty, he'll come looking.

Will he find you?

There's no real sign that a party went on yesterday; the loompas made an exception and got busy outside once most patrons headed in to sleep.

It's much like it was yesterday.

Hot sun. Warm water. Abundant food. Unending drink.

And a certain air of lassitude that only an entire weekend of lying around in the sun can bring.

If you haven't yet joined the party, you might as well. We're only just getting started.

These two haven't been seen in the bar for a while. Elaine is spending time with David, going over his school work. He's smart, of course he is, but sometimes, being human now, he makes mistakes.

But after a while, his schoolwork is finished and Elaine orders ice cream for the two of them. David comes over to sit next to her, leaning his head on her shoulder a bit as he eats.

Ice cream is every bit as good now as when he first became real.

In Milliways, strange things happen.

Like little robot boys turning into real boys. And little ex-robot boys sitting at the bar, wolfing down French fries, hamburgers, and milkshakes, because, dammit, he's hungry.

Something is not right with this picture.

The door opens, as doors are wont to do.

And in flies a very curious arrangment, that might look very familiar to a small number of denizens, and only mildly familiar to the majority.

A sledge. Pulled by four large giant wild boars, huge and grey and bristly with rings through their noses and small piggish red eyes peering out over twisted tusks. The sled itself is menacing and dark and appears to have been hewn from large tree trunks, with crude grinning faces carved into the sides.

Sittting in the sleigh is a familiar face in a familiar outfit - except they're not familiar together. A fur tirimmed red outfit, curving over a stomach that is fat in the pillow-shoved-up-the-sweater way, a patently false white beard...

...and a sketal brow, over empty eye sockets from which two tiny blue lights are glowing.

HO. HO. HO.

She is sitting on a barstool and she's having a good day, but she still misses Ryan, and is twisting her ring around on her finger.
