Molly is barefoot as she pads down the stairs. She had told Cain where she was going, but wasn't sure he'd really heard her... he'd been immersed in a book, and had made one of those "mmmhmmm" noises that could mean anything.

But craving for tea and biscuits cannot be denied, so she orders a tray from Bar, and finds a table within view of the stairs. If he should happen to notice her missing, he'll be able to find her easily enough.

She nibbles an oatmeal biscuit as sits and people watches. Maybe she's watching you?

Getting up early, Cain slipped downstairs earlier, leaving a note for Molly and settling at a booth to watch the crowd. he is still unused to, and uncomfortably with, the large number of people that are always here, but he wants to try to get more used to it.

So, Cain, beer, booth, pensive expression.

After this, Molly and Cain come down the stairs hand in hand, both of them beaming happily at each other.

They choose a table near the bar and order dinner from a waitrat, and settle in for a pleasant evening.

Molly and Cain come down the stairs refreshed after an afternoon nap. They are holding hands and seem at ease, but Molly is keeping a careful eye out for anyone who might be paying Cain undo attention.

They choose a table with a good view of the rest of the bar, and order some dinner.

Cain walks unsteadily downstairs, eying everyone in the room, or seeming to. He is still very confused by all that is going on, but growing stronger every day and more steady in his own right.

At his side, arm through his, is Molly, her eyes swinging from the crowd to him regularly.

They make their way to a table and order tea from a wait rat. When Cain settles in, Molly settles beside him and he grins at her.

Molly and Cain had had an interesting night, and had woken this morning a little awkwardly, but relatively well rested.
They made their way down to the bar, and Molly was relieved to find it in working order again, so that they could at least get Cain a change of clothes. She watched in bemusement as he shrugged off the hospital gown right there beside the Bar and, put on a shirt and trousers.

She might have suggested that he go to the men’s toilet to change, but he seemed to not want to be separated from her sight. She simply shrugged, since he wasn’t naked at any point, and ordered them breakfast.

Taking their plates, and leaving him to follow with a tea tray, she got them settled at a table.

[[ooc: Cain and Molly are both available for threading, feel free to approach one or both of them. Just keep in mind that Cain will not remember your pup.]]

Molly goes to the bar with her note, and tries in vain to get the bar to accept it. When she finally sees the notice saying that the bar is not working at present, she tacks it to the notice board and returns quickly to the infirmary.

[[OOM: Molly’s Lament ]]

Molly comes down the stairs in the bar and pauses to look around.

No sign of either Cain or Bruce. One she wants to see more than anything, and the other she knows she will have to face, eventually.

She considers getting a cup of tea or some breakfast, but her stomach vetoes that idea, despite the fact that she hasn’t eaten in a couple of days. She bypasses the bar and goes straight out into the gardens. Some physical labor is just what she needs to occupy her, and keep her from thinking too much or too deeply.

She takes her tools out of the shed, and prepares to start turning the compost pile when she hears it: A strange sound coming from the direction of some thorny bushes up against the side of the building. It might simply be Bulbasaur, or even Teyfera spying on her, too shy to come out, but the past couple of days have taught her caution, if nothing else.

She approaches cautiously, cursing her broken wand, and approaches the bushes. She’s got a pitchfork gripped tightly in her hands, and she pauses when she hears the sound again, mentally analyzing it. It sounded like a groan. She hurries, then, and lets out an ear-piercing shriek at what she finds.

Cain. Lying bloody, with his limbs at odd angles, tangled half in a thorny bush, and barely recognizable under the bruising and swelling. The giveaway is the mark on his forehead, and Molly’s tears come then, to see it. She tosses the pitchfork aside, and runs to the back door, wrenches it open, and shouts at the top of her lungs:

“Somebody HELP! I need a healer out here NOW!”

She doesn’t wait. She goes to kneel beside him, tears leaking from her eyes. How long has he been laying out here like this? Who would have done this to him?
