When Rabastan enters the bar, and takes note of its current state, he realises that it's been a while since his last visit.

Taking note of all the changes - as well as the sudden assortment of robots, animals and people clearly not who they usually are - he makes his way over to Bar to get his vidwindow.

He's a bit of a veteran at this, and doesn't need much help with anything.

What he needs to do is decide on what he's going to be this year.

After Rabastan has made his decision, who should arrive but Rarity and Scootaloo? Who also are reminded that they've been gone a while.

Scootaloo wastes no time at all in making her selection, and has made her way over to a large pile of blocks and begins assembling ... something best described as "abstract art".

She doesn't care what it is. The fact that she's got thumbs for the next three days is much more important.

Rarity on the other hand, is trying to ask Bar to find her a suitable set of fashionable attire before agreeing to anything.

Neither Strength nor Wheel are too worried about when they last visited the bar. Time's not as important to immortal beings, but it doesn't mean they don't appreciate a visit now and then.

Just like Rabastan, Strength and Wheel are old hands at Cubefall, and politely decline reconfigurations, while Strength's lions take up the offer given.

Once Shujaa and Utani have resumed their human forms for the year, the quartet moves about the bar, making note of all the new faces that have appeared since they'd been here last.

Two kids [one human, one equine] are sitting at a table, with a cat seated in front of them.

The girl found the papers and crayons, and the boy brought his cat.

They're both trying to draw her, but kitty is busy washing herself or pouncing her tail.

After getting their vidwindows...

Sitting at the bar, sipping a milkshake and idly doodling in her sketchbook, is Rarity. The vidwindow had offered her an alternate animal form, but she was having none of that.

So here she is.

Hands are useful if strange.

Scootaloo, who loved being human so much last year, has decided to do it again.

She's currently watching some cartoons on TV. I think it involves multi-coloured bears.

Wheel and Strength do not opt for reconfigurations, but Shujaa and Utani do.

They're busy at a table, playing a game of cards.

Up first, for her Cubefall debut, is one orange-and-magenta pegasus filly.

She'd just managed to figure out how to sit on stools meant for bipeds, when the vid window appears.

"Welcome to Cubefall", it announces. "Would you like to try on a configuration? Tap 'Yes' or 'No'".

Scootaloo looks about. It's full of manipulables, and while there are plenty for those without opposable thumbs, having digits instead of hooves sounds even better.

A tap of the screen [she made sure her hoof was aligned correctly before she made her choice—she didn't want to be stuck with a mistake for three whole days], and without any fanfare, a young girl of about ten, albeit with hair the same colour as it was when she was equine, with matching overalls and orange tartan shirt.

Let's go see what the big deal is about hands!

For our next act, we have Strength and Wheel. They tap "No" when asked about configurations. Why would they want to test one out? Wheel does it all the time, and even Strength can be something else if she really wants to be.

It's Shujaa and Utani, however, who decide simultaneously that they both want to go human for the holidays [apparently going naked ape is a popular choice if you happen to be an animal].

And just like Scootaloo, there's elements of their animal forms when lion and lioness gain their new forms.

If you ask them, they think they look pretty good for two-leggers.

Last but not least is a Cubefall veteran, chewing out the vid window when it shows his selections.

Without fail the selections include a wolf among them. Albeit an organic-looking wolf with armour here and there.

At least it doesn't look like a robot, or a werewolf for that matter.

With a resigned sigh, he taps "Yes" and before you can say "Transfiguration", there's a replica of that same creature exploring the couches near the fireplace.

Feels a bit heavy and creaky, this shape...

Milliways has a meditative quality to its silence at this hour of the day.

Most of the patronage has gone to sleep. And the ones who are up at this time take full advantage of the early hour to get things done with minimal interruption.

Strength and Wheel [who this morning looks to be a middle-aged man] don't worry too much about interruption. Much of their purpose revolves around interruption. It's what they do. It's who they are.

And as the night owls go about their business, the two tarot go about theirs.

Laying down cards on a table. Tarot cards.

To divine meaning? Gain insight? Maybe.

Or maybe tonight/this morning they just feel like looking at pretty pictures.

Interrupt if you want to know what it's for.

Sometimes you have to be careful with what you say, lest you call something into existence that you'd rather not deal with. Mia should have learned that lesson long ago, especially with how her recent conversations have been going, but no. She's spent her time talking about seers and fate.

Now she's learned she'll have to teach divination next semester.

She doesn't have the gift, but then neither does anyone else on the staff. The divination post has been empty for too long, however, so it's become her duty as Guildmaster to step in.

Mia's staked out in a corner booth with a stack of books and an assortment of items for fortune telling. Among them are a crystal ball, a big wooden box with a variety of herbs in their own marked panels, a few teapots and teacups, and some diagrams and color-coded charts. At least she can learn the mechanics and what a reading should sound like, even if her attempts at scrying don't work out. At the edge of the table is a sign:

"I should've given this job to Dominic when I had the chance years ago," she murmurs, resting her chin in her hand while turning pages in The Basics of Divination.

There's a new building on the shores of the lake.

(Well, I say new...)

It appeared as if built overnight, but instead of being snug and pretty like so many new buildings, it looks as if it's been there for a hundred years, and empty for a hundred more. Walls have fallen in, and ivy crawls up those that remain. The windows are as empty as a skull's eyes. The pathway to what was once the front gate is overgrown.

It was clearly once a majestic place, its grey structure an imposing sight, but now ...

It is not empty.

Jack's been training with Horus earlier today.

He stayed away from the forests, after what happened last time.

Today, he's finally decided to bring her into the bar again. She's currently secured to the bar top without her hood, although she was wearing it when he brought her in, and it's easily to hand if something does spook her.

Otherwise, Jack is sat eating dinner, with a large mug of hot chocolate, there is an unnatural chill in the air, after all.

There's a boy outside fighting demon bunnies.

He fights the last one away and wanders under the lurid pink trees and through the shockingly violet grass to the back door, dragging the stick the whole way. He hesitates before taking the handle, almost a red mailbox door, but he ultimately opens the door and steps inside.

His free hand instinctively goes up to shield his trembling eyes from the bright colors, his head shaking a little from the new assault of whispers.

Everyone's waiting for you.

Everyone's waiting to throw rocks at you, spit on you, and make your life hell.

Who's "everyone"...?

Everyone you love.

He crouches low and takes shelter from the voices and the sudden nauseating scent of putrid food.

To sum up, a pretty gross Lucas is hiding under a table in a booth. You can probably smell him or hear his mantra of "Stopitstopitstopitstopitstopit....."

It's started.

Tower takes a look at the crystal over the bar, squints at the window, winks at the scurrying, worried rats, and goes to the bar to order a scotch. Instead, he gets a napkin.

"How very fitting."

He gets himself behind the bar, looks a few things up in the little black book, and writes two specials on the board.

When his lovely sister Star turns up, he just waves her over, and hands her the chalk (after a brief peck on the cheek). After all, there is a bright side to everything, even to general apocalypse.

Decidedly more human than last time, Strength sits at the bar, with several paper lions she's made and placed about her on her table.

Someone definitely loves her lions.

Every now and then, a colourful piece of paper is wadded up and tossed to the floor for Shujaa or Utani to bat around with their paws. Don't worry; she'll clean it up later.

And speaking of lions, every now and then she inspects the bracelet she received yesterday, a gift from her lover, Justice.

When she does, she sighs happily.

And wonders if this is how humans feel when they're about to be bonded to the one they love for the rest of their lives.

There are three lions out by the lake, lounging as they enjoy a reasonably warm sunny day. Two females, one male. One of the females happens to be of an unusually dark colour; the other two a white made brilliant by the sunlight.

Other than that they don't seem all that unusual.

It's a good day. Come and join them. Ruffle the big male's mane. They don't bite.

[OOC: ZOMG I've neglected this voice for way too long. Anyways, Strength finally has an EP.

Also I'd like to point out I'm on library hours until sometime next week. If you don't get an answer after a certain point, then I've gone home and will tag when I'm next able to.

There are seven tarot cards seated around a table.

They regard each other.

Ruin is sipping his beer, eyes darting to Moon occasionally.

Wheel and Strength are sitting beside one another, Strength's two lions staring at Moon's two wolves.

Tower is smoking a cigar, holding a glass of scotch in his hand, and smiling to himself in not an entirely pleasant way.

Star is sitting, or as near as she gets to it, on the back corner of their table setting up a long line of multicolor dominoes which are crisscrossing the table.

Moon is huddled in her chair, her skirt now three-quarters red, her bright eyes staring at the dominoes Star was placing on the table.

Mary Anne has a glass of tequila and her copy of the Art of War (closed, in her lap); her feet are propped up on a chair stolen from a neighboring table.

A family meeting, the first in Milliways, and the uneasy silence has to be broken sometime.

Moon, it seems, has no intention of leaving her tree.

But she doesn't mind company in the tree.

Yesterday's talk with Cal was very helpful, and both of them were cheered up by the end.

That couldn't last, though. This isn't an easy, straightforward problem. He's still tangled up inside; exams are over, a small mercy, but he's feeling more than enough fresh wretchedness to counter that.

And he has to deal with it.

The mask is still on his wall. His roommates would ask questions if he took it down. And, code, it's still so tempting, but at the same time he doesn't want to be anywhere near it, to have it staring at him...

Too many people, he has found, make him feel guilty and paranoid. He needs peace and quiet. His own peace and quiet, not... Anyway. Not a lot of that on campus, except in the tunnels (off limits, bad idea for an extended period, and gloomy besides) and his room (out of the question).

The treefort is vacant right now. It'll do.

An idea!

She sneeeeaks over behind the bar. She scrambles around a little, finds a stool and climbs on top of it. A large poster board with crayons appear. She does a lots of scribbling and then places it up to where it's clearly seen. She hums a bit as an assortment of supplies appear behind the bar. She inspects the supplies, grins and climbs back up on stool.

Now to wait!

Keeping busy while Bound is all well and good, and there are worse fates than staying in what amounts to a very strange hotel, but Gordon's starting to get more than a little frustrated by his position. The driving lessons he's been giving in the garage, his time on the target range, learning exactly what you can do with metal and acetylene and a whole lot of fire- it's all just distraction from the fact that, yet again, he comes downstairs in the morning only to find a blank expanse of wall where his door ought to be. He runs a hand over the wall silently, in case the door's present but concealed- but no, there's nothing at all.

Dammit.

All right, then, he's going outside. Just as soon as the Bar's given him a bucket of the most aerodynamic suction darts his modified dart rifle can manage. He's been reading about the life of Simo Häyhä instead of sleeping. It's oddly inspirational stuff; the dart rifle is as close as he can get to sniper equipment. Even if it does have ammo that makes a poik! noise upon hitting its target.

If that door doesn't come back soon...

It's been a busy couple of days in Mongolia, so Belar's been dividing his attention more than he really likes. Today, though, he's got everything back home nailed down. The sign he puts up on the table in front of him reads:

He figures that's simple enough. Oh, and he's turning on the blue glow as long as he's at it. Might as well be sure.

The nice thing about being a Cybertronian as opposed to a human is that no matter how much energy your puppy has, you always have more. Bumblebee spent a lot of time today playing with Carburetor specifically so that the fleethound pup would be too exhausted to protest when he finally slipped away. He's in the Bar now, practicing bot-mode infiltration up in the rafters, and occasionally dropping down to the ground as quietly as he can just to see how many times in a row a bright yellow-and-chrome robot can pull a feat like that off without being noticed.

Feel free, of course, to notice him; he needs the criticism to improve his performance.
