Ben Grimm - Happy Hour

[ever_lovin]

Wearing a Met's jersey that looks like it could cloth the entire team, Ben comes in today for a lunch time pick me up but get picked up himself instead.

"Sure doll, I'll take a turn. Get yourself some rest." That done, now he needs some specials. He'd love to do some Fantastic Four theme but creating mixed drinks has never been his forte. This does remind him of a blog he saw though which had several drinks he wanted to try.

"Happy Hour's GO!" He shouts out to the room at large and sets to filling bowls with pretzels as he runs a classy Happy Hour.

Inara spends some time looking at the names of the drinks before turning to look at Ben. "How bad will I feel later if I try the Hulk?"

"Well, that depends," Ben says turning to see Inara. Ben has seen beauty in many forms, heck he's meet goddess of beauty, and it is only this that keeps him from dropping the bag of pretzels. He clears his throat before continuing, "Are you human? Normal human? Do you drink often? It only has two kinds'a liquor in it so it's not too potent and the Mountain Dew has caffeine in it so if yer not used to coffee or tea it might give you a buzz. Caffeine is a stimulant in case you don't know."

He trails of realizing he kind of babbling.

Her smile is slow as she listens to him babble. Then she purses her lips and nods. "Normal human...I drink several times a week, I guess. I drink a lot of tea, though most of it is green tea. But I have known to knock back a pot coffee before."

She leans forward. "At my weakest, of course. I'll try it. The Hulk."

If orange rock could blush...

"Comin' right up. You have any allergies to fruit? It comes garnished with a kiwi," he says over his back as he grabs a highball glass and starts the drink.

"Oh, no." Inara shakes her head. "And I love kiwis."

Ben nods as he's pouring the Midori and Absinth over the ice and Mountain Dew. "I love it wit' cream and strawberry myself."

He adds a slice of kiwi and a purple straw before putting it before her. "Hope you like it. I'm Ben Grimm by the way."

"Thank you." She grins at the drink in front of her, easily pleased today. "I'm Inara Serra. Where are you from, Mr. Grimm?"

"Earth 616 if that means anything to ya, New York city 2010. I'm a super hero and one of the founding members of the Fantastic Four. How about yerself?" He asks as he pours himself a seltzer water and adds some lime.

"A planet named Sihnon, though I currently reside in a spaceship. Serenity. This drink is very good, by the way." She says that last part from around her straw.

"I'm glad you like it," Ben says smiling a very warm smile. "Be careful though. If the drink is anything like the man, it's got a mean punch. I gotta say, I love spendin' time in space but I can't imagine living on a ship. I need fresh air and space ta stretch."

"It does make me cherish each moment we are planetside." Inara nods. "I used to hate it. I thought I'd hate it forever. But it's home now. And the crew is my family now. Makes it much easier."

Ben nods taking a pull on the straw of his seltzer.

"Family makes everything easier, even when they're driving ya crazy. You a private vessel?"

[makesmeatease]

"Uh, yes." Nodding, she fiddles with her straw. "I don't think Captain Reynolds could handle more than who he has on the ship."

Her poor husband would lock himself away if he were a passenger ship. That one time was bad enough!

"My family and I usually are explorin' or savin' the universe or somethin' when we go flying. There's just four of use and that gets crowded after a day 'r so." Ben rolls his eyes just thinking about it.

"Luckily, I have my own shuttle, and it is very secluded."

"Now that is an idea I'm going to have to steal. Let me buy your drink in exchange?"

[makesmeatease]

"My ideas are freely given, Mr. Grimm, no worries."

[ever_lovin]

"Ben, please. Ya say 'Mr. Grimm' an' I feel like I should turn around an' look fer my dad." Which would be really weird as his dad is long gone.

She grins. "I'm sorry. Ben, then."
