Legolas backs into this bar from another, two tankards in his hands. All around him pipe- and fire-smoke has settled.

After a brief moment of surprise (and delighted laughter), he puts the two tankard onto the Bar, gets a bowl of Dorwinion, and kicks out a stool sit on (his feet still touch the ground).

This is much more pleasant.

He's peering at the room, as he sips his wine, bowl held in both hands. He very well may be peering at you.

[ooc: ~~to cheer myself up from a day of sickpain; probably not going to be too communicative ooc, but I'll try to be consistently around-ish :)~~ ~~on pause~~ Thank you for all the threads <3. Closed to new ones for now, and I'll be slow but try to keep up with those I currently have :)]

His laughter startles Tumnus from his reading, this is one of the dryer histories and he smiles at the elf.

Legolas is startled in return; he raises his bowl slightly to Tumnus.

His curiosity is open.

Tumnus raises his mug of tea, "You look merry."

"And you, not so much," he says, genial. "Lest your people read for amusement."

"I do read for amusement, this is simply a rather dull history but informative."

"What information do you seek?"

"At the moment, I'm trying to find out what the relations used to be like between Narnia and one of our neighbors to the south."

"Ah," Legolas says, dismissing this slightly. "Diplomacy is the most unmerry of subjects. Join me for some wine, and it shall keep itself company."

"Yes, I think it can wait. Thank you," He enjoys history but diplomacy is trickier.

"Another Dorwinion for my friend," Legolas tells the bar, cheerfully, and thanks her when it comes up, also in a shallow drinking bowl. "Where is it you're from? And," he adds, before the first question can be answered, "what should I call you? I myself am Greenleaf amongst most Men, but here often enough they insist on calling me Legolas for Greenleaf seems a strange name."

"Tumnus and I'm from Narnia. Do you know many Men?"

The bowl is different but not too much, there are some in Narnia who use them. He just has to be careful of his beard.

"By what measure do you count 'many,'" Legolas asks, bereaved. "I encounter them in the dozens, though they do not always stick in my mind as well as they ought. And then, one is absent for a dozen dozen seasons, and must meet a new group entire."

"And what manner of people are yours?"

"I am a Faun. Are you an elf?"

"Yes," he says, pleased, "or so we are often called. My people are the Wood-Elves, of the Great Forest, but our race entire are the Elves."

"The Great Forest, it sounds wonderful. I grew up in the forest by the Lamppost."
