She wasn't bound, she had no domestic issues, her home in Montgomery County, Maryland, was as comfortable and cosmopolitan as she would have liked, and yet it was quite clear, as she walked down the stairs in pajama bottoms, a t-shirt, and white slippers, that Audrey had decided to stay at the bar for a while. Memory loss, dead ex-boyfriends and friends made of clay had failed to dissuede her that the bar was comfortable and safe. Really, she liked the respite. She liked the calm of not having to run to meetings and discuss policy all day without time to rest at home at night. And the food was great.

So there was an Audrey, dressed like she'd just gotten out of bed, at a table with coffee, pancakes and eggs.
