A very tired Amanda is sitting in a booth near the infirmary. There is a book in her hand but it does look like she is having trouble focusing on it. A cold cup of coffee sits by her elbow as she despreratly tries to distract herself.
Come and help distract her.
Come and help distract her.

"Amanda! How are you feeling?" Concern overtakes her excitement.

"Piper" Amanda gets up and gives her a hug, "Thank you so much. I am doing very well. I got my immortality back a few days ago so things have been looking up."
no subject
Piper smiles, and shakes her head slightly.
"I had no idea all this was going on.
When Prue came and told me that we were going to help someone and told me the situation, she didn't tell me who it was. It wasn't until we went upstairs with Paige that I found out it was you.
I was very worried - of course, there wasn't much time to dwell on it, there never is.
And I babble. But I'm glad you're okay."
no subject
"Yes well it all did happen rather quickly. One moment I was getting ready to disperse the rest of the presents the next I'm off on a quest that ends in mortality only doesn't end there and well. You understand." smiling
"So how are you doing?"
[OOC: yeah for new ep this week]

I am doing..well, I suppose.
Strange stuff with my sisters."
A thoughtful pause, then a slight smile.
"You adjust.
Even though you don't forget, you have to move on..function.
And it's not like I haven't lost him before...although. I can't figure out if that makes it easier or not."
no subject
Poor Piper, to lose someone you love multiple times seems as though that would be torcher. Really what do you say.
"You'll be with him again."
no subject
Piper reconizes the "there really is nothing to say, so let's be hopeful!" in her voice, but there really is nothing to say. Although Piper's seen too much to not live in reality, it's depressing.
She sighs slightly, then smiles.
"Sure."
When and if my sisters pass this test unlike anything we've ever been through before.

They will do fine as they always do. At least that's what everyone hopes. What's life without a few challanges right?
"So what have you been doing with yourself?"
no subject
"I've been in here a little, but mostly I've been doing the normal stuff at home: keeping the sisters in line, getting attacked by demons, taking care of the boys, whipping up potions, cleaning the house, saving whatever magical creature comes our way.."

"My life is far from boring, that's for sure.
One day I'll try to bring the boys so you can meet them.
Coming here was a break, at least for awhile there, but now it's kind of strange."

Then I became more comfortable with telling about my magic.
And just around that time, my sisters started arriving. At first it was just Paige and Phoebe, and that was strange enough, but then..
I love my sisters, but it was nice to have a break from them. I live with them, we're constantly doing Charmed things together, and there isn't time for a break. When I came here...it was like a loophole."
Long pause-
"And that was all the complications before."

I'm glad to do it.
I guess I just don't know how to deal with seeing Prue again."
She laughs slightly.
"I mean, it's not like I haven't thought about seeing her again. I could have summoned her. I have summoned Grams and even Mom, but - in the end, I couldn't summon her. I mean, at first it was too painful, and then there was the adjustment with Paige...but even after all that, well, eventually I realized I was just making excuses."

I could almost convince myself it was a dream."

Amanda does however wave dwn a wait-rat to order tea. This conversation needs it.

Piper looks away slightly and sighs.
"It wouldn't help anything. I will run into her eventually. Reality isn't going to go away just because I hide from it."
She lets herself go for a moment in angst, "I didn't even know she could come here!"
Then she collects herself, so she's calm looking.

"There are many people here that are dead. There is alot about this place that may never be explained so I try to enjoy what it has to offer." in other words friends.
no subject
Pause-
"Although everytime I step through that door I wonder which I will face: the good and enjoyable things, or the not-so-pleasent, I'd-rather-be-somewhere-else-and-not-deal-with-this things.

"Yes, it is.
I guess I just keep hoping things will get easier. Silly, after all this time."
She runs her fingers through her hair.
"I'll adjust."
no subject
no subject
"I'm not sure it has gotten much easier, but sometimes it'll change to a different type of difficult."
no subject
"SO tell me about your boys?" Amanda actually knows remarkably little about them.

Chris is eighteen months old.
They're..very different. There were prophesies about Wyatt; he has powers in the womb. He's been blessed by I don't even know by how many different magical beings, and set apart in many different ways.
And yet, he's supposed to grow up and be the reigning power of all evil.
Chris seems to be a normal, happy baby. That is, a normal half-witch, half-whitelighter baby.
And when he grows up he has alot of issues with Leo, and something apparently happens to me. Other than being terrorized by his brother, and his father issues, he seemed to be as well adjusted as one could hope."
She shrugs.
"Hopefully none of that will happen now."
no subject
"And I would certainaly hope not."
no subject
"Oh, when my sisters and I were fighting the Titans, Chris came from the future to help. He was in his twenties. Anyway, as a result, Paige is still alive, and a lot of lives were saved.
After that, he told us about a big threat that would Turn Wyatt and about this evil power in the future."
Slight smile.
"It wasn't until much later that he told us the 'evil power' was Wyatt.
It also wasn't until much later that we found out that Chris was our son.
That explained a few things."

This also helps her put her life into perspective.

I suppose if you've got to live, it's better for it to be interesting than not."
She sips her tea.
"And it makes you appreciate the quiet moments, that's for sure."

Then her eyebrows raise, "Really, what's that?"

He smiles. "So you can stop looking so worried. Friend of yours?"
Apart from Gil, Guppy doesn't know many people who aren't friends of Amanda here.
no subject
SHe smiles, "Yeah, he's my roommate." there is a fondness in her voice. She had stayed with him long past when he went to sleep last night before trying to get some of her own. "He is very sweet."
"Thank you Guppy."

Giving Guppy a hug. "Just let me get him somethings fist." walking up to the bar she gets a bushel of apples, a cucumber and watermelon for Snowball as well as water. Then looking at GUppy she also orders two sandwiches. This is why trays were invented.

"I just asked him if he wanted anything and he didn't seem very hungry, but maybe you will be able to persuade him."
He opens the door to the infirmary.
