Guppy is in the bar, dozing quietly in his usual spot by the fire. He looks a little pale and rather tired.
Occasionally his eyelids flicker a little, or a limb makes a little movement.
If you poke him, he will jump.

His brain forces it to fit in.
And suddenly there is an Amanda in the room. It's a hospital bed in a quiet room. His father in the bed in front of him. The singing Amanda passes him her sword.
His whole body tenses and he rubs his hands together, as if trying to get something off his right palm.

The sword. There is still blood on the sword. On my hands, my face.
I'm in the Bar. They mustn't see the blood.
"Blood everywhere. Mustn't see the blood."
He scrambles to his feet and bolts up the stairs, trying to hold back the tears.

It doesn't work. He shakily gets to his feet, goes into his bathroom and throws up.
When there is nothing left to come he sits down heavily and shakily on the bathroom floor, closes his eyes and rests his head on the cold surface of the bath.
"Sorry Amanda."

"That's alright."

No pillows. He is sweating and pushes the duvet to one side so he's just lying on top of the sheets.

Taking a seat next to his bed she puts it down on the nightstand. "Guppy this is a gift from Dream. It guarntee's good dreams for a night. It's far better then anything a sleeping pill can give you."

He takes her hand. "Do you mind if I save it? Because..." he takes a deep breath. "Because my father will die soon. And I think then I will need it more."
He blinks back the tears.
