"Good even, madame."

A kindly looking man in white robes stands nearby, an oddly looking staff hovering nearby.

Ginny looks at this guy up and down with a smile

"Hello, I'm Ginny"

He bows to her then smiles.

"Magius the White, of Krynn, at your service."

He grins.

"How does the night find thee?"

Ginny blinks slightly then smiles again

"I'm doing ok.. Just comming here for some free time.. And your self?"

she asks softly

"I am well. This place is a great boon to a student of life like me."

He smiles kindly.

"A place to learn life, and love and magics."

"Yeah I see"

she nods to a spare chair at her table as she looks at him slightly confused

"you, in school here?"

He settles on the chair.
"No, indeed. I am a student of life. I enjoy studying life and magic wherever i go. I am long out of schooling in any normal place."

He smiles.

"And you? What do you do?"

She nods slowly

"I am a Student and still In school in my world out side of the bar.."

she smiles thinking a moment

"where are you from out side of the bar?"

"A place called the citadel, in a world called krynn, far away from Earth. It was my sanctuary for many long years."

He smiles.

"Now i am here to learn and see what there is to see."

"ohh ok well I hope you see and learn every thing that you can then.. I bet you have seen a bit"

she said soflty

"A bit here and there. This place is a good oen for such."

he watches her for a moment.

"And what do you seek here?"

"yeah..well I just seek and escape from my world when i come her and to meet new people and learn about them"

He nods.

"If I might ask, how do you like Magic?"

"I like it well enough do you know how to do it?"

with out thinking she reaches in to her pocket for her wand

He grins and his eyes flare with silver light. Then he speaks a soft word and there is a shimmer of color across the table.

"you could say that."

Ginny looks at him

"how you do that?"

She asks slightly amazed

"I am a wizard. I wield magics of many kinds. I have learned in my studies here that every univesrse's magic is different."

He smiles.

"How does yours work?"

Ginny looks at him bringing her wand up as she taps her glass saying something softly her glass starts to float

"With my wand"

He blinks.

"Does it concentrate the magic, or hold it itself? And do you need a wand to work magic?"

she looks at him confused again as she puts her glass back down

"I don't know how it works.. And no, not all of the people in our world need a wand. but I do"

He hesitates, then smiles.

"Perhaps sometime I should talk to an adult from your world. If I learn more about how your magic works, I can explain to you better the differences between the two. The magic on my world is a free flowing force that fills everything around us."

He raises his ahdns and incants something wquiet and with a few gestures a small glowing ball forms in his hands, that shimmers, subtly shifts, then solidifies.

"Until then, here. This is a solid ball of lifeforce. It is harmless and cannot be harmed. if broken it will merely go back to it's components atoms. Study it with your magic if you will."

Ginny holds her hand out

"Wow that was really cool.. OK there are lots of Adults from my world around here"

Magius smiles.

"My world seems to be m,ore saturated with magic than most, thus the magic is more free even as it has it's own set of costs. "

He places the lightball in her hands. It is a cool, plastuic-looking and feeling thing, that shimmers. To magic it ought to give off en endless supply of interesting sensations.

She smiles as she looks at it and holds it likes its the most precious thing she's ever had then she looks up at him

"Magic cost you.. like do you have to pay to use it?"

she asks soflty

"Mostly time and dedication, most magic users choose to dedicate themselves purely to the art. it means little chance of anything true ramointicall;y, or any friends, or any life outside magic. Unless of course you go the Easy route, in which case you can have it all, at a different price."

He shakes his head.

"The more powerful magics cost lifeforce of the wielder or other extremely costly material goods. "

"You loose part of your self to use it?"

She asks soflty trying to understand it

"Some of the most powerful magics, if you use them, yes. It is like... all things cost, a certain amount of effort and energy. Magic is after all energy. And for a truly powerful magic the energy must come fromt eh bearer at least partially."

"wow that sounds like its not so much fun or useable like we have here if you loose your self every time you do it"

"Well, that is the really powerful stuff. Like Godkiller standards. NMormal magic just requires a great deal of concentration and dedication to learn and memorize and keep in one's head. The more powerful one gets the harder it is."

"Wow that seems really impressive.. but why would you want to kill gods?"
