(no subject)

*Willow walks downstairs. It's actually more of a skip. Very perky. She and Tara spent the night discussing wedding plans and rehearsing...for wedding nights...*blush* and now she's ready for a drink and chatting. She heads for the bar first*

Can I get a Magic Woman, please?

Not that I don't have one...

*She laughs contentedly*

In her usual quiet observsational capacity at the bar, garbed in something simple (http://pics.livejournal.com/3rdtimelucky/pic/00011q0p) and vaguely warm, Goldilocks spots what seems to be a familar face. Before she can retract the welcoming smile or the waving hand of greeting, it becomes apparent that the target is not Shelley after all.

So that leaves a rather awkward hand in mid-air, waving at someone she has never met before.

She could drop it quickly and hope that no-one noticed, though that might draw more attention to her, or she could make it into an exaggerated yet discrete move for her drink (rum and coke)... and all the while, as she considers, the hand is still there, just kind of drooping a bit now.

"Huh?"

Goldy drops her hand and looks over her shoulder, as if this girl is addressing someone else further down the bar. It's a terrible cover really, but it was worth a shot.

She looks back, apparently bemused herself now.

"Me?"

"Oh, no bother at all," she says more brightly. The relief doesn't breech the surface, though she wonders how she actually got away with it, if indeed she actually did.

"Pleased to meet you. I'm Goldilocks."

She thinks for a second. Flowers, yes. Colors, yes. Trees, not so much.

"Arborists?" she offers with a cheeky smirk.

"And mine was the exact opposite," Goldy points out. "I like Willow though. It's pretty."

She nods affirmatively and even pulls the stool out a little way.

"Not so much into as in," she corrects with a smirk. "Seriously, how many other women have you met with my name?"

Goldy blinks slowly at the girl's lack of uptake. It's amusing and charming in its own way.

"Yes. I suppose they are. There's a preacher here by the name of Mightily Oats reportedly. That's one of the best I've heard."

[identity profile] 3rdtimelucky.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Just: Mightily Oats," she says with another little laugh. "And he's from the Discworld. But it's still crazy."

[identity profile] 3rdtimelucky.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
"I suppose it must be. I haven't read those books. In fact, I didn't know there were any about it—but, I should have guessed."

She takes a thoughtful sip of her drink. "Are they any good?"

[identity profile] 3rdtimelucky.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Maybe I'll check them out. I slept with a mysterious green-eyed goddess from that world recently—perhaps I can get a few insights about her."

[identity profile] 3rdtimelucky.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
Goldy's eyes widen a little. "Well, that explains the dice thing. Heh. Thank you."

[identity profile] 3rdtimelucky.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Biting her lip and rolling her eyes away guiltily, "I might have..."

[identity profile] 3rdtimelucky.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
Goldy shrugs dismissively. "Well, it was something I wanted too, so everyone won."

"Besides, the actual gambling was on a different occasion, and I'm not exactly what one would term Good anyway. I can handle the bad of badness."
