Carl Denham's being drawn to this place.

That's the easiest way to put it. That and Jack's here, and he's worrying that-well? His friend might be even more crazy then he is.

So, Carl has a stack of magazines under one arm, and some apples, and he's looking out for Jack.

But hey, others can tag him too.

"What kind of movies do you make?" she asks, kindly, finishing off her drink.

"He said he was writing a comedy," she offers, adding after a hesitant moment: "And he mentioned an actress--Ms. Ann Darrow...?"

"Ann was my lead." Carl takes out another apple and starts chewing, oblivious, "I make...well-adventure pictures ta tell ya the truth."

"Adventure pictures?" Catherine casts back to her conversation with Jack, to the 1930s. "Airplanes in the desert, dinosaurs, big epic battles...?"

Carl nods, "Yeah. Although the idea about an airplane in the desert's new...hmm..."

He's thinking now, "...Dinosaurs...well yeah."
He shakes his head, "On location shooting for that one."

His face goes dark.

"You're--wait, sorry, you're on location?" Eyebrows go way up.

"No no, we were shooting on location." Carl grins, "And what a location. Dinosaurs, gigantic bugs..."

He looks disgusted, "Jack tell you about what we brought back instead-of a finished picture?"
