*Iris fades back into the twenty year old sorceress, laughing*
"I don't exactly impersonate people. I can, easily, but my talent extends far beyond that" she said smiling sweetly. "Like my chair" she says looking down at her seat.
*the chair shimmers and fades into an intricate gilded throne, Iris is dressed in royal robes with a silver circlet holding back her hair*
"It is quite nice to have, I must admit. I never have to cook anything but rice." she says laughing. "And I can still have the finest dragon steak" she laughs.
"They are a delicacy in Xanth." she answers. "Mostly because more dragons eat humans, than humans eat dragons." she giggles girlishly. "Dragon meat is quite tasty with hot sauce, actually." she pauses thinking of something. "Do you not eat dragons as well?" she asks.
"Well, I find the illusionary ones to be quite cute" she says holding the firedrake up and kissing its nose. "That's sad that you don't have any dragons. But it probably cuts down on the fires" she says to Sara Sidle.
"I just love them, I'd let you hold it, but it isn't real" she said in a disappointed voice. "I can't make anything solid. You can look at it though." she says brightly.
"I am, though I'm living here by choice as a reprieve for now. My friend Grissom is Bound though, and is rather annoyed by that. I think it's good for him."
"Call me Sara," she grins. "And I worked as a forensic investigator for the Las Vegas Crime Lab. Basically, I and my team attempted to reconstruct how crimes occurred and determine who committed them. We don't have the advantage of magic on my world."
"That sounds like fun!" Iris smiles. "There aren't enough people in Xanth for there to be any crime other than stealing and such. If anyone dies it's because they wandered too close to a tangle tree." she said laughing. "But you can see what someone else did wrong?" Iris asks.
"Somewhat. If, for example, I found the blood of a murdered person on one of your possessions, that would give me sufficient cause to legally search where you lived to see if I could find more evidence."
"I am sorry, Sara. I am sure you must have done your post well. It was not because you are a woman was it? I have had such discrimination brought against me." she says sympathetically.
"Oh no--had I been fired because of that, there would have been ways for me to seek retribution for such. My country is trying to move past archaic beliefs. Ecklie--the director--dismissed me because I refused to essentially be a minion of his."

"Are you able to leave the bar? I've heard that some people are stuck here."
