Sara is covered in paint finish and dried wall paste. She's also not had a single drink these evening, which is blasphemy

Acquiring a glass of wine, she settles down on a couch in front of the fireplace. Feel free to interrupt.

Sara nods, not really surprised. "Would explain why I never heard of it. I'm from Earth. A planet." She grins again. "Sit down! Can I buy you a drink?"

Romana chuckles. "Earth's a charming planet."

Then she sits down. "So long as I can buy the next round." She orders a glass of Atlantean wine.

"Someone thinks we're charming? Wonders never cease. And it's a deal." Sara orders a scotch on the rocks for herself.

"I work on Earth in forensics. Solve crimes and such."

"Very charming. Sometimes even classy."

Romana sips her drink then smiles. "I imagine that's a very enjoyable albeit time-consuming line of work. Are you on a team or alone?"

"I'm part of a team, though sometimes assigned to solo cases. It depends on the caseload for any given night. The perps aren't courteous enough to schedule their crimes one at a time." Sara looks bemused rather than annoyed. Must be the scotch.

"I imagine perps are rarely considerate at all." Pats Sara's hand before finishing her Gargleblaster. "What city do you work in?"

"Las Vegas, Nevada. Otherwise known as Sin City."

Romana looks thoughtful. "You know, I don't believe I've ever been to Las Vegas."

How exciting then. Romana loves hearing about places she's never been. "What's it like?"

Sara sighs. "Overrun by casinos, tourists, street gangs, prostitutes, drug dealers, rapists, and murderers."

She winces. "But, uh, it does have it's nicer side too. There's an excellent university, a plethora of museums and very beautiful parks as well."

Ah. That could be why she never visited and the Doctor never expressed any desire to take her there. "Oh dear." She smiles though. "You're very brave then. And dedicated."

"What sorts of museums?"
