It's not that Desire hasn't been visiting Milliways: Desire has.
As the Endless is so fond of reminding old friends, this is a bar: Desire never really leaves.
But maybe, just maybe, it's the first time in a long while that the Endless has been spotted moving through the crowd, reclaiming the usual booth.
Desire smirks, sets the cigarette in hand into the blue ashtray on the table and proceeds to get comfortable, shoes propped up on the bench across the way.
So.
How long has it been since you've seen Desire?
[ OOC: Pretty please! I'm attempting to get back in the swing. Ping me at milliwaysdesire before pouncing me, so I know what to expect? Thanks! - Bansh ]

Dieu, it's like a family reunion - hey, Derry!
*There is bending over to wiggle her fingers at her cousin, because that's clearly what you do with babypeople.*
no subject
Derry wiggles her fingers back.
"Hello Meg, who is lucky enough to not inherit stupid genes from her father," sniffing the air.
no subject
"Yes, much like Derry seems not to have inherited the crazy from her mother. Though there's still time for that -- wouldn't you say, Del?"
Desire pauses the Family spat to peck Meg on the cheek. "Salut, petite."
no subject
And says, judiciously, with extra-cute,* Tante Del, would you let me hold Derry? It's been a while since we've had, you know, cousinly bonding.
*Get the little one out of the line of fire, is the strategy.*
no subject
That's another, very sharp, attempt at a kick Desire gets from the youngest sister.
no subject
"Tch! Why, Del -- It almost feels like I've struck a nerve somewhere."
no subject
Can I ask why there's hurting, or is it just for fun?
no subject
"OuTsIdE oUtSiDe OuTSiDe, NOW. So I CaN hURt YoU mOrE."
Derry looks at Meg and sums it up with, "Uh-oh."
no subject
Smirky bastard.
"Besides. We're having such a lovely family reunion, don't you think? -- Derry really is cute as a button."
no subject
Murmured, to Derry:* I thought we were all crazy here.
no subject
Derry waves at the empty space and says, "Bye-bye."
And throws a stuffed frog at Desire's head.
no subject
Up until the frog hits, of course, but still -- Laughing! And Desire knows mow much Del hates that, too.
Wow.
What a shitty Sibling.
Desire gives Meg and Derry a look that says, 'What?'
no subject
*Pause.
As Meg realizes that Derry's mummy has just abruptly disappeared.*
. . . er.
no subject
Tch.
That could be potentially problematic, couldn't it?
"She'll be back in a minute, when she realizes what she's forgotten."
Desire certainly sounds sure of that.
no subject
*For a day, sure.*
no subject
Two moments.
Three.
Desire begins to wonder how long (Tempus Frangit) Del needs before she knows Derry is missing.
no subject
. . . . so, papi, *she says, brightly,* how do you feel about babies in the Threshold?
no subject
no subject
. . . well, I guess if you want me back there anytime soon, you'd better hope Tante Del gets back here.
- I mean, I can't just leave her.
no subject
Desire is beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that hesheit doesn't like.
"I'll be back," Desire grumbles, and disappears (http://www.livejournal.com/community/endless_realms/17141.html).
no subject
Meg looks at Derry.
Derry looks at Meg.
Meg looks at Derry.*
. . . here's looking at you, kid, *says Meg, eventually.*
no subject
Hurricanes look less stormy, actually.
Desire doesn't have a cigarette. And Desire is leveling a look at Derry that borders on homicidal.
"It looks like you've been granted some bonding time with your cousin, petite."
no subject
Meg, meanwhile, eyes himherit, and says,* Remind me to bet on Del next time there's a family fight.
no subject
Desire habitually reaches for the cigarette case that's been at home in this jacket for a little over a year -- and the Endless's hand closes on nothing.
Desire says something in a language no one at this table knows, but sounds perfectly vile and anatomically unfeasible regardless.
no subject
It's not particularly successful, but it's the thought that counts, right?
Meg, treacherously, snickers.*
