There is a petite, red headed alien sitting in the observation area, watching the universe end. There is no research, no curiosity being satisfied. She's just sitting.
Watching.
Thinking.
Watching.
Thinking.

Finally, her voice gives out and she stops to catch her breath.
"That was... loud."
no subject
He beams.
"And loud."
no subject
"We did well."
no subject
He nods, sagely.
"Horrible. People will rue the day they told us 'shh.'"
no subject
"Shall we go slide on the ice now, or just sit here a while longer?"
no subject
He beams.
"I do not sleep and there is no rush."

"Your hair is very pretty."
It has snow stuck in it. Which catches his attention.

"Is there anything else you would do out here?"
no subject
"I would like to walk in the snow more."
no subject

She picks up a fistful of snow and studies it. "I cannot feel how cold it is."
no subject
Which is very gracious, for him.
"It is pretty still."

He grabs her hand again, tugging her towards the lake.
"Then you must try ice."
no subject
"This time, I probably will fall."
no subject
He does.
He'd spun Callisto.
"Hold onto me tightly."

It doesn't take long, though, before she's laughing along with him. Sikozu? Meet fun.
no subject
But he doesn't know, because he's laughing and twirling her and not letting her fall.

Jack may have just jumped to the top of the very short list of people she likes.
no subject
But eventually the mad whirl slows, and he settles her down on the ice, steady.
"It is wonderful."
