Into the Bar comes Barry. He's tired from having stayed up just a bit too late playing poker, but the excitement of the day is enough overcome anything like lack of sleep. And of course he's smiling. not often that a hero gets to be a groomsman for another hero.

For now, though, Barry calms himself and ponders what to have for breakfast.

"Like I once said, sometimes the things I don't know about what goes on here are surprising. Though Alanna and the rest of the staff have really made quite an effort of late to keep communications flowing.

"And if he's been behaving himself, there'd be no reason to hear more." Though now Barry wondered just what this guy might have done before.

"Yes it is amazing that in a place that is so small how much can happen without a person ever knowing about it." And given that Amanda is a social butterfly and there is still stuff that happens she is completely clueless about is amazing.

"It is strange. In some ways, we are like a smnall town here. But I grew up in a small town, and you coudln't sneeze without a dozen people calling and asking if you had a cold. That tends not to happen.

"Though certainly when something bad is going on, word spreads like wildfire, as does misinformation. That is definitely like a small town," Barry says with a knowing smirk.

"I've always prefered the big city. THough admitedly Milliways has started getting me to alter my thinking on the whole the concept."

Barry thinks for a moment. "I left the small town the first chance I got. Lived in a fairly large city the rest of my life. And if you asked me if I could live in Fallville, Iowa ever again. I would say no.

"But I also did miss some of the warmth of a small town some days. Then again, Central City was very much a Midwestern city, and kept some warmth as well. It wasn't like New York or Metropolis, so large that everone was a stranger."

"Suppose that would make a difference. I've lived in every size town you could think of. They all have their perks and draw backs I suppose."

"Any one place that you consider a favorite?"

"England." yes he probably meant type of town but she is feels rather homesick, "I think I'm going to move back when I get unbound. Run the clubs from the London site."

"I haven't been to London in a long while. The last time I was there, it was for a ceremony, and I didn't have time to see the sights. Guess you never know when you will have a chance to do so, and I missed it." No real regret here, just a thought spoken.

"Well if you are able to leave the bar to go to other peoples worlds I would be willing to give you a tour." she'll have passports and everything waiting for him.

"Right. You had made that offer, regarding your club in Paris.

"I think I would like to do that, but I'm not sure I will have the time. See, I'm leaving here soon." No need to hide it, after all.

"What do you mean leaving here? As in not coming back?" her voice is rather shaky as she seems to be fighting for control.

This would be a can of worms and that lid has started to come off.

He's a little surprised. Is Amanda getting emotional about him? Impossible.

"I think I once told you that I'm dead. Thing is, when speedster heroes on my world die, they are supposed to go to a special afterlife. And I've been told it's time. Probably by the end of February."

The tears start flowwing though she manages to keep the rest of her body in check. Trying to wipe the tears away, "Well. If I get unbound before that I will drg you to London so that you can see it before you move on."

"Thanks." There is no way she would cry over this.

"Is something wrong? Should I excuse myself?"

She shakes her head, "No I'll be fine." and sure enough with in a few moments she is back under emotional control. Or at least the facade is back up.

"So what did you get Hank and Catherine for a wedding gift?"

"A gift...Oh crap. I didn't. I was so busy getting the poker game ready that I forgot.

"Maybe I should take care of that." An excuse to get out of waht feels like an awkward situation? Maybe. But it's true anyway.

She smiles, "Good luck."

"Thanks." Now, what the heck should he get?
