OOM, sometime before Christmas because Hat sucks.

Some time after the terribly handwaved OOM, Jeannie found herself sent to her bottle again-- but this time, not corked. Just to keep her out from underfoot.

Of course, a bottle, however luxuriously appointed, can get rather dull.

Luckily, there have been more interesting places in Jeannie's bottle, lately, and a bit of concentration and a blink...

And where there was nothing, there is suddenly a young and bubbly blonde genie in Milliways, smiling and pleased with herself.

There is, in return, a small brown Djinni on a nearby table looking at her.

It nods at her. "Hello. I'm the Venus Djinni Flower."

Flower is, in fact, not from Aahz's dimension-cluster, nor would it be the least annoyed to be called funny-looking.

"You also. That was an unusual method of arrival."

"Perhaps not. On Weyard, teleporting invariably involves balls of multicolored light."

"No need. I was simply noticing the differences."

Soon, there's also a raptor chick peering up at her curiously. Like her mother, Scribble is attracted to red. She tilts her head to the side, blinking. "Yeep?"

[identity profile] redsnout.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeepyeep!" Scribble paws at the air hopefully, on the lookout for food, per usual.

Raptor Red, though, is on the lookout for Scribble. She heads towards the chick, letting out an annoyed squawk-something she's still good at, even in human form. But when she sees Jeannie, she stops, eyeing her suspiciously. "I remember you."

[identity profile] redsnout.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
A live chicken it is, and Scribble is overjoyed. It's a squawky-runny thing, and it's small enough to kill on her own. Before the chicken can even have a hope of getting away, the chick tackles it with a shrill screech, and feathers fly.

"I've been eating, but that's only because I learned to eat like a human. And we can't go home, because I'll be eaten."

"Dinosaurs." She doesn't know why she knows the word-she's not sure why she knows any words, for that matter. Her best guess is that it, like human form, is all the redpinkhuman-thing's fault. "Including my family."

Girls popping out of thin air isn't so strange to a certain floating skull - it happens a lot in his fantasies.

He stares at Jeannie a long moment after her arrival.

To make completely sure she's not in his head, he comments, "Nice entrance."

[identity profile] floating-skull.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Morte sighs. Pretty girl or no, he's still miffed at this reaction. And he hasn't been sarcastic lately.

"Yes, I'm a talking, floating skull. You're someone that can appear in a bar at the end of the universe without using the Door. Now that we're all caught up...."

[identity profile] floating-skull.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Morte replies with a much cheerier, "Thanks. Sorry, just got that reaction far too often lately.

"So," he bobs a bit closer to her, "what kind of being of magnificent, cosmic power are you, hmm?" He eyes her speculatively.

...Which doesn't mean he's checking her out. Oh no. Never. Wouldn't dream of it.

[identity profile] floating-skull.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if she doesn't object....

Morte eyes her a bit longer this time, up and down, finally announcing, "Ah, yes, genie. I should've recognized that.

"Me? Well, chit, I'm a mimir - a floating encyclopedia on Sigil and the Planes."
