A slightly subdued Hanild has finally made her way out to the stables. Even though some of the animals are strange, she finds it as relaxing as she did at home. For the moment, she's sitting in a corner, knees pulled up to her chest, and is just thinking.

"Good afternoon, neightbor."
no subject
"Oh, hello." She nods to Faran. "Is he yours?"
no subject
"As much as he is anybody's he is mine. He is a great lout of a horse, but he is a good friend as well."
Hje turns his ehad back to her.
"Faran is his name. Sir Sparhawk, is my own."

"He is, and knows it, conceited lout that he is."
He keeps on working with the horse, Faran glaring at him.
"A pleasure to meet you. Hanild."
no subject
"I wish I had a horse here."

It isnt surprise in his voice, just questioning. He racks the currying tools and dumps feed into Faran's trough, enought to make sure he eats, but not enough to overfill him.
"Were there amny horses where you come from?"
no subject
"We are known as the Horselords, so yes, there are many horses."
no subject
"Ah, and you could not bring any to Milliways with you?"
He hasnt learned much about the whole dead thing yet.

Faran bares his teeth at Sparhawk, and Sparhawk smiles blandly back.

"We do, and have for many years. This old man is glad for this old horse."
He clouts Faran on the shoulder which brings a nicker and a glare-smile. Which is an odd expression on a Horse.
"What sort of horses did you ride where you came from?"
no subject
A small pause. "There are a few, though, that are different. The mearas. They are smarter and live longer, but they are finicky."
no subject
"Sounds like Faran. He is long lived and very smart. Smarter than a few of my comrades in the knights in fact."
His face twists in a kind of smile.
no subject
"Where is it you're from? Perhaps he is one."
no subject
He smiles slightly.
"He and I have been together for quite some time."

"It sounds like an interesting place to live. What did you do there?"

He smiles slightly.
"In my woirld they are usually assigned such tasks as greeting strangers and arranging the courtly fucntions."

"Ah. What did you choose to do, then?"

She is not exactly showing herself in highest graces of his opinion.

"My apologies, Madame. I had forgotten that the dead walked here."

"If Bar lets me out again, and lets me remember this time, I will see if I cant bring back a horse with me when next I come. If I have any warning. No rider should be without a horse."
no subject
"Oh, there's no need to go through all that trouble for me." Her expression, however, gives her away. She'd love a horse.

"I will do my best then. Now if you will excuse me, I have a need to return to the Bar. I will see you around later."
Then he does bow to her and turns to go.
