Booth, coffee, notebook. It's business as usual for Max this morning. Except, perhaps, that she seems likely to actually finish the coffee before it goes stone cold, and the notebook's being ignored in favour of people-watching.
Actually, the latter bit's pretty normal, too.

A Magius nods hello, over a cup of red wine.

"How goes your morning?"
no subject
"And your own?"
no subject
"Good. And My own morning has been very nice. Very nice indeed."

He glances around the room.
"Looks like a nice crowd so far.

It's not personal, she just knows too many people who delight in giving out the sordid details of their love lives.
She looks over the bar herself. "...Could be. Could not. Hard to tell."
Fucking curses. Fucking magic. She almost misses home. There, at least you understand what's trying to kill people.
no subject
"I wont."
Those such things are very private to him, hence the faint bloush on his cheeks.
"Has there been trouble?"
He has been distracted. A fiance returning from hell and to life can do that to you.

Logan doesn't count. The whole dying if she so much as shakes his hand thing, and all.
There might be a faint smirk at the blush. She sobers quickly, though. "Yeah. Some demon wraith thing's going around fucking with people's heads."
no subject
"Damnations of Eternal Slivering torments..... how much can you tell me?"
He looks at her seriously now.
no subject
Yes. Yes, it is.
"If it isn't something that can be hurt or killed, I'm pretty fuckin' useless."
no subject
"I feel the same way, except..."
he waves it away.
"If I cant see it, or know it, or know what it is, I can't stop it, or help those under it's influence."
Yes, frustration he knows. OS much for a good morning.

And yes, she's watching him very carefully as she says that last bit.
no subject
"It would have to involve him, wouldnt it?"
His smile turns lopsided.
"Managed to insult him the first time I talked to him. I dont think I ahve evere managed to get back on his good side."
Then his face turns more serious.
"But I will talk to him."
no subject
Part of why she likes him.
"I'd imagine they'd appreciate any help they can get."
no subject
"I will see about finding him today, then. I dont know if I can help, but if I can, I will."
There is a determination there. He lives here and so does his fiance, and so do others he calls friends. He will not willingly let this place be harmed or those within it either. If he can help...
"What else has been happening? Seems as if there are always a mess of events here."

"That's always true, isnt it? Sometimes,. I am surprised there arent more parties ehre to overthrow the angst factor."
he has been reading odd Earth books again.
no subject
What? It makes sense to her.
no subject
"I might, if I had even a start of clue how to... or if I knew enough people to actually invite to make one..."
He chuckles.
no subject
What? It could work.
no subject
"It just might at that..."
And his thoughtful look deepens with a spark of something else as he grins.
"Yes... it just might at that..."
no subject
"Cool. Good luck."
no subject
he smiles to her, bows, and turns to go.
"Have a good day."
