Every now and again he shakes his head and sips his pint.

A cheerful bird comes to rest on his table chirping happily. SHe hasn't seen Abs in a while and is most happy to see him. She may also be reading what is on the other side of the paper.

There's an article on Holby United on the back.

Abs blinks and looks up, then offers the bird a bit of biscuit from his pocket.

Amanda has gotten the bird's insincts under enough control where she doesn't just accept biscuits out of someone's pocket anymore especially since she just ate, "No thank you."

It was in a packet in his pocket. Abs knows about germs and stuff (or at least we'd hope so).

There are raised eyebrows.

"Have we met? You seem familiar."

Yes we would hope so but it's an exercise in discipline.

"Once or twice." there would be a chuckle here if she could, "Abs, it's me. Amanda."

Blink.

"You've lost weight."

"Yes well that happens when you're turned into a raven." the voice sounds amused.

"Did you annoy a wizard or something?"

"Why does everyone assume that I annoyed a wizard? I asked my friend to turn me into a raven so that I could visit Snowball's world." she finds that easier then telling people about the rescue mission. Too many questions and not her place to be talking about his business.

"Who's Snowball?"

Head tilt, "My flatmate here."

[OOC: Am heading to DMV. Will have to slowtime for many hours.]

"I didn't know you had a flatmate. Why do you need to be a raven to visit his world?"

[ooc: Drive safely m'dear :)]

"Humans aren't welcome on the farm that he is from and that is where we are going to be visiting."

[OOC: thx. And Wah, Amanda wants to be human so she can hug Guppy. Currently she is on the hunt for Paige.]

[ooc: I'm sending Abs to rescue him at the end of the evening.]

"Weird farm." Abs shrugs. "Takes all sorts. So how are you?"

"I am doing well. Enjoying this form mostly. How about you?"

"I'm okay thanks. We had a bit of a surprise at work." He shows her the paper.

Amanda reads, "Ow. That's horrible."

"We had no idea. Belly button piercings, botox, holiday vacs, stealing precription pads." he shakes his head. "That old lady needed help, she had a very dangerous drug habit. If Bruno hadn't sold her son the pad, she'd have been forced to come off them. Instead she took the drugs with her other medication and had a massive haemmorage."

He shakes his head. "It's bad news for the department certainly."

The tiny head moves up and down, "No dount there will be inquiies and increased security about such things." Guns and drugs are two things that Amanda has never dealt in, too much risk of things giong wrong, you know..like people dying.

"How will this affect you and Guppy?"

"Me? Probably a few stern words from Nathan about us all being vigilent, and we'll be a nurse down. Guppy's still on sick leave at home so it shouldn't affect him much at all."

The head bobs a little faster in a nod, "That's good. Wouldn't want your lives to become anymore stressful then they already are."

Abs nods. "Well it's going to be a bit tougher at work for me until we get a substitute in. But Bruno was very good, nobody spotted him at all."

"Hopefully they'll find some one quickly." not that she thinks it will happen as when hiring in such a beuracracy takes time.

"How is Nina doing?"

Abs smiles. "She's fine. We're going to the theatre to see Grease together tonight."

"That is wonderful. Great play with good company. SHould be alot of fun." the bird ruffles her feathers excitedly.

Abs grins. "I've heard it's a good production. Guppy took his Nana the other day."

Yes Amanda has seen it. Nothing like living in New York to take advantage of seeing broadway productions.

"I do hope you have fun. Now I think I should return to my search for Paige."

Abs nods.

"Take care Amanda."

"YOu too." and she flies off.
