Out in the stables, Sparhawk is leading Faran in to care for him and put him away for the morning after a good morning ride. He is dressed, as usual, in his chain mail and cloak, sword at his side and the small pouch of Bhelliom inside his shirt. It has been a good few weeks, but he is feeling very cabin fever-ish as he has been here much longer than he was ready to be.

Well, she's found them now. And someone she hasn't met before.
"Sorry, she says quietly, feeling the odd urge to speak as though she's in a library. "Am I allowed to be in here?
no subject
"Good morning, Lady. As far as I know, any may enter the stables. Be careful of which horses you approach, as some are particular. But being here and watching is by all means, not against the rules."
His voice is quiet.

"I'll keep my distance, then, as I've never really been around horses much. Is one of them yours, or do they all belong to the bar?"
no subject
"This is mine, Faran, and a right evil brute he is. But he suits my moods fine. Just dont get to close. he likes to bite and kick."
Faran stares at Sparhawk, annoyed.
no subject
"He's very beautiful," she ventures. "What makes him behave so?"
no subject
"Because I am a prickly old knight and he follows my lead."
he enters the stall and begins to brush Faran's coat.

She's teasing. Probably.

"Only when my wife and Queen or my Church commmand me to. The rest of thre time I just tend to barrelyt through."
no subject
She grins in lieu of a handshake, since his hands are busy tending to Faran, and she really doesn't want to get bit by a horse.

"I am Sir Sparhawk of the Pandion Order, Lady Prewitt."
no subject
she tells him. "Where are you from?"
no subject
"A country called Elenia. It is not in nany world I have heard of here."

"I have heard a lot about Earth since gettoing here. Most people here seem to be from that place."
He smiles a bit.
"Makes a man wonder at times about what draws people here."

"No, no others of my world here as yet. And my lady wife, then least of all. She would not leave her throne for this palce, even if she knew of it."
no subject
She wonders if she should have curtsied or something upon meeting him.

"I am a Church night, which m,ostly means I defend the faithful and try to not get into trouble. My world is one of Gods and darknesses and so there is much call for the Knighthood."
He smiles a biut.
"I have yet to see a dragon."
no subject
she wants to know. "And dragons are a nasty business on my world, so it's just as well you've not had to fight one."
She's hardly aware that she's drifted closer, and is resting her arms on the stall of Faran's stall.
no subject
He smiles.
"I dont know Dragons, but I would almost prefer one to a Troll. Ten feet tall and nasty and hard to kill."

"Church Knights are required to learn it to beter defend our people."

"We are taught it by the Styric mystics. It isnt a born talent."

She admires the way he competently grooms and cares for his horse, and takes a look at many of the other stalls that are occupied by all sorts, some true horses, others with wings or horns and such. All look very well cared for.
"Do you know if anyone here offers riding lessons? I've never been on a horse. It might be nice to try it sometime."
no subject
He listens to her, and finally finishes his grooming and hauls feed over for Faran as well.
"I do not know. I am sure someone might."

((ooc: slowtime or wrap, please!))
no subject
He steps out of the stall and nods to her.
(ooc: slowtime is fine...)

((ooc: thanks!))
