Coming to a decision, Miho approaches the Bar, and pulls a handful of bank cards out of her pocket. Tapping them into a stack, she places them in a pile on the polished wood.

"I'm not sure how much is there, Bar. Could you put any that's left over after my tab's paid off into. . . um, use it to help the Bound patrons out?"

The cards stay where they are.

Miho sighs. "I know they're not mine, but. . . That money was earned by exploiting children, trafficking drugs, all sorts of bad things. The men who earned it tried to kill me. I'd like it if they could help people, somehow. If you won't take it for me, maybe there's enough to help someone else."

A beat, and then the cards disappear. A moment, and then Miho's tab fades to zero. She smiles. "Thank you, Bar, I appreciate it."

She lights a cigarette, and turns, leaning both elbows on the Bar, and idly surveying the room.

Snow happens to overhear this and smiles.

"Thank you. I'm sure that many patrons will benifit from your donation."

Miho smiles, and nods. "I don't know if there's much, but any little helps, right?"

"Right. The exact ammount is irrelivent. We certainly don't want anyone donating more than they can comfortably afford."

She shrugs. "Well, it's not mine, so. . . I'd feel bad if I just used it myself. Enough to cover my tab, so I can think about a way to get by until i can leave again is all I need."

"Very sensible of you. I'm sure it will be appreciated."

She nods, taking a drag on her cigarette. "Miho." She holds out a slim hand.

Snow shakes the offered hand.

"Snow White."

Miho presses the hand, and releases it. "Pleasure." Yet another name she doesn't recognise from a fairy tale, although it sounds unusual enough for her to suspect.

"How long have you been coming to Milliways? I don't think I've seen you around before."

Miho contemplates. "A few months, give or take. Longer for me, though - I left for a month, my time, and came back a week later, Bar time." She'd seen Snow around - she notices everyone - but they hadn't spoken.

Snow hasn't been in that often, lately. The bar isn't as safe as it used to be.

"All fairly standard. Which is slightly odd, when you consider what's relatively normal."

Miho shakes her head. "I've given up defining normal, since I cam here."

She gives Snow a curious look.

"Do a lot of people make donations, then?"

"More than a few, since the notice went up. And a good number of takers, so I doubt the donations will go unusued."

She nods. "Will there be enough, do you think?"

"It looks like it. And since more than a few have said they only want it for a loan, some percent will make it back after they become unbound."

"That's good." She wouldn't want any of her Bound friends to find themselves in trouble, after all.
