After leaving a package at the bar for Daria, (because after all one could never have too many young minds to shape), Mesaana sat calmly at an out of the way table with a cup of tea.
A tall woman with short hair, icy blue eyes, wearing a rather elegant dress of grey silk sat having a cup of tea. Not what you would expect for a Forsaken.

She finishes her dinner.
She closes her book. She stands up and brushes off her clothing neatly.
She walks over and says, "Good evening, Lady Selae."
Not entirely composed, but better. She still fears Lady Selae more than anything else.

"Greetings, Lady Angela."
no subject
"How are you this evening?" She puts her books down on the table, out of the way.
no subject
"I am quite well. Yourself?"
no subject
"I am better." She clasps her hands in her lap and leans forward. "My mother spoke to me. She said that she does not intend to change anything, when I go back home."
It might be hopeless, but she is still not sure what to do.

"It is unfortunate, since even the knowledge of the event will alter the timeline... If it has not already been altered, or was ever the same to begin with at all."
no subject
"It's all so confusing," she murmurs.
no subject
"Now, Child, did you really expect matters dealing with the Lace of Ages to be simple?"
no subject
She puts her hand down, places it in her lap again.
"I just...I do not know what to do next."
no subject
"Any path from here will involve either acceptance or a rather drastic measure."
no subject
But, she is curious.
"What...what sort of drastic measure?" she asks, quietly.
no subject
"There are things that can be done about your situation... Not things that I can do, mind you. There is always a price for such power, but if you look hard enough... Well, if you do not find it, then it will certainly find you."
no subject
She's more than prepared to do some work for this.

"Like the Aelfinn and the Eelfinn, they are conniving, but not truly evil, simply different, and hard to reach, but maybe they could help."
A pause. She needed to keep her own hands clean of this matter.
"There are other ways to get what you need. I cannot caution you enough, and would even dissuade you from looking down such a road, though, I myself have occasionally made sacrifices for what I deemed a truly good cause. I have encountered entities in dreams, and... if you look hard enough and desire it enough, I have heard rumors of entities that could help you, but I cannot advocate such a path in any kind of good faith."

All she wanted was her family back. Her mom and dad, her brother.
All she wanted was to go out of the door and have everything be just like it was--to be just one timeline, just one family, not one here and one out there.
It was a good wish, wasn't it? A good thing to try to do?
"I'll look. If I cannot find a solution, I will simply have to accept it."
And death is always a way out crosses her mind, for a split second.

"Be guided by your judgment as you deem fit."
no subject
"I am sorry to bother you with my silly troubles, Lady Selae. Is my mother well?"
no subject
"She is well... Lady Angela, your troubles are not silly, quite the opposite really.
no subject
It's a mark of how very hard she's trying that there are only tears, and no sobbing.
"But I am the cause," she says softly, her voice wavering only a little.
no subject
"Your mother does not think ill of you, Lady Angela."
no subject
Angela's heart aches.
no subject
"There are some things that all of us are willing to make sacrifices for... If you seek, then you will most certainly find. Just be very careful."
no subject
Slowly, slowly, she brings herself back under control, then folds the handkerchief neatly.
