Bruce sits at a table, papers and a few magazines scatterred across it. He frowns as he reads a paper on the latest advancements in the field of Gamma Energy. No one ever learns from his mistakes it seems. He shakes his head and keeps reading. Distracted geek in the Bar.

Well well well.

Could it be? Could it really be? Is this Bruce Banner? It seems to be, but Eddie's memory lately hasn't been the best. Emotional trauma and then some will do that to you. But still, he's got a pretty good idea that this man is indeed the Hulk's alter-ego. Rubbing his fingers through his short blond hair, Eddie heads over. He could use a bit of cheering up, and while a (almost) complete stranger isn't his best bet, it might be good to actually talk to somebody from, oh, his own universe.

But the question remains. Is it really Banner? One way to find out...

"Bruce Banner?"

Bruce blinks, and looks up. Not a lot of people who knows his full name here, even yet. he looks at this man and shakes his ehad. He almost looks familiar, but... not quite. he cant remember the memory, or something.

Then he nods.

"That's me. Can I help you?"

Eddie cracks a smile, though it's a rather tired one.

"Yes and no. You and I are from the same universe. Unless there's multiple Banner's 'round here. Anyways, you probably don't remember me, but we had a little rumble quite awhile ago."

He pauses, then chuckles. "Well, it wasn't you exactly, if you get my drift."

Bruce blinks a few timea nd pushes his glasses up his face from where they threaten to fall off, then just takes them off completely.

"Okay, so who are you? A super hero, or a villain? Or just someone who managed to get in Big Green's way at rthe wrong time?"

Which are legitimate questions. These crossovers never start normally...

"Villain."

A pause, then a sad frown.

"Ex-villain, I guess. Not much I can do these days."

He holds his hand out, and attempts another smile. "Eddie Brock's the name. But most know me as Venom."

Bruce blinks, then almost sends his chair backwards as h stands up at the name. But... this is Milliways ands he bites his tongue and extends his hand, shaking the other man's.

"Welcome to Milliways, Eddie. Ex-Villian? Reformed, Cloned, drained, or depowered?"

What can he say? His universe is weird!

Eddie scoffs at the 'reformed' bit. Mainly because it's so close, yet so very far, from the truth.

"Hard to explain. Nature of my powers came from my symbiote, and now it's...not with me. So, basically, I'm somewhere between de-powered and reformed, seeing as I sold it off of my own free will."

It didn't turn out as he'd hoped, but still...

"Guess I won't have a chance at a rematch."

He nods.

"That suits me fine. I've never been in it for the hero parts like most of them. As Bruce and as Hulk, I just want to find a cure and be left alone most days... not that that will ever happen. Even if I was to be tossed one some other planet, I would still end up back at square one."

he smiles grimly.

"But, for now, and for here, you are welcome to a drink if you want it. How long have you been here?"

"A drink'd be fine." He replies, taking a seat across from Bruce.

"Er...a few months? Ya, sounds about right. Kinda had a rough couple of weeks, it's a bit hard to think, so if my memory's a bit off, 'scuse me in advance."

Bruce waves at a wait rat, ordering a beer for himself and waving for Eddie to order whatever he would like.

"I have been here around six months bar time, but over a year my time. Things got hairy back hioem with half the freeking world chasing me almost. But I finally made it back."

(ooc: slowtime is fine!)

Eddie orders a beer as well, and nods in acknowledgment of Bruce's comment.

"I've never been very up to date on recent events, but somehow that doesn't surprise me. Considering you're...well, you."

Bruce flashes a tired smile and nods.

"This place is a solace and a haven in a lot of ways. A place to com and relax sometimes, and not be being chased, but work on a cure when I can. Not that I am any closer, but at least here, I have a chance."

Eddie nods in agreement. Milliways was a prison for him at first, but slowly came to be something of a haven. Now it just brings back bad memories.

"Don't you ever get sick of trying to find a cure? I mean, geez, you must've been at this for a damn long time."

Bruce chuckles.

"Honestly? Sure. But it isnt as if I am going to stop looking. If I give up, the monster wins, my dark side wins, or I die. And frankly I am a little too stubborn, and a little too fond of living. Besides which... I'm not entirely certain I can die, so..."
