"This thing has a range of over two hundred metres so I suggest you keep moving."

Shufti has the crossbow trained on something out the door when she comes in. She stands and holds her position for a moment, before stepping inside and shutting the door with a deep breath of relief. Slipping the crossbow easily back onto her belt, she moves to the nearest booth and sits down heavily, hand resting on her bump.

I'm getting too pregnant to keep doing that.

Hearing the young womans voice Amanda looks over, "Morning Shufti." she would wave her over but currently her hands are busy with the fabric.

"Morning Amanda."

She takes a minute to catch her breath, before getting up and heading over.

[ooc: Sorry forgot to answer your question. I can't see Sootymun on AIM at the moment, but I'd have thought she'd be at work.]

With her head she motions for her to take a seat and tries to wave down a wait-rat with her foot. It takes some doing and he will be very well compinsated for responding. "What would you like?" Oh yes Amanda will be sure that she is fed, it's what she does.

"A ham sandwich and a glass of milk would be nice please. Thanks." She smiles, knowing that Amanda wants to feed her.

"And a spagetti boligase (sp?) for me please." she request of the wait-rat.

"Don't tell me that was those guys again, the ones from the Working house?"

She nods. "Well different ones from the School. The others refused to come back because Paul would chop their noses off."

Amanda has ideas of other parts of their anotomy's that she would sever. Especially to the one that hurt Shufti. "Where was Paul and Polly?"

"They had to go to the brewery."

"I see. Well hopefully now they can see that you are capable of taking care of yourself." a brief pause as she wonders about those two girls.

"That was only one man. They don't like losing."

A small shudder. "Paul said when Lofty, Tonker and Wazzer escaped, they searched every house in the town."

Amanda hopes that they destroy that place soon.

"Is there anyway you could stay here until the baby is born?"

"I'm going to go home once more, then I will." she replies. "When I reach thirty six weeks it will be possible for me to have the baby and for it to survive, so at that point I'll come here when Polly and Paul go out to the brewery, and stay until the baby is born."

"Sounds like a plan. Would you like me to go back with you on your last trip for safety?" don't have to RP it she can just be OOM if Shufti agrees.

"You don't have to, but Polly and Paul said you're always welcome at the inn if you want to come. It would be about two weeks or so, but probably not long here."

Amanda nods, "I would like to." she might not admit it but when Shufti isn't here she worries.

She smiles. "It would be lovely to have you. I'm surprised the food didn't put you off."

Chuckling, "I've had worse." she may sneak some non-parishable snacks to Shufti's world with her for this trip but other then that Amanda will survive.

"I do what I can, it's the ingredients that are tricky. And really, there are only so many ways to cook rat and horse."

"SO very true." Amanda has to agree, "But you do a good job. If you like I can also help with the cooking." because she really should stay off her feet as much as possible.

She smiles and nods.

"That would be great, thanks. Polly says it's okay for me to direct the kitchen maids when I need to sit down."

"I'm glad she understands." smiling, she isn't suprised though, "And I'm not a half bad chef myself." she boasts.

She smiles.

"If you know any recipes for rat or horse, let me know."

"I think I can come up with something." she jots down some recipes on one of the pages on the sketch pad.

"Um, miss Amanda?"

She fidgets. "I don't read so good. I make all my recipes up or adapt ones my mum made."

"Well then if you have some interest I would love the chance to teach you." she smiles and then rattles off some of the recipies. There are likely some ingredients that she hasn't heard of depending on how similar herbs and the like are named between the two worlds.

She nods, taking it in.

"What's that one called again? That sounds nice?"

"Oregano" she repeats, "Gives it a nice flavor and a little goes a long way. If you put too much in the flavor of the herb will over power most other things."

"We may have it, there are many herbs in the garden. What does it look like?"

Amanda describes the herb and some of the other recipes that she has used while she was traveling long ago.

"That sounds lovely."

She smiles.

This pleases Amanda. "I'm glad you approve." she says, "I'll be here all day so just let me know when you are ready to leave."

"I think I'll stay a couple of days, get some food inside me."

She smiles. "Before the weekend, probably thursday or friday."

Amanda nods, "Sounds good. I'll probably still be here." she chuckles.

"I'll try and pick a convenient time for you." she says with a smile.

"But I really need to rest after that. It's quite taken the energy out of me."

"Of course. Please rest as much as you need and want." Amanda says enthusiastically. "I'll be around."

She smiles. "Thank you." Stretching her back a little and getting up.

"I think I'll go and have a nice hot bath. It's still such a novelty having running water."

"Wonderful. Enjoy." she watches the woman go to her bath.
