(no subject)

The front door opens and a goddess saunters in. Yes, saunters. She can do that, you know. And especially now, since it is hear favored season, and she's looking more radiant than ever. She may be busy back home, but there is always time to relax with a nice drink at the End of the Universe.

Yes, she looked very lovely indeed.

So there was a weary Giles that smiled at her.

"Eostre, it's been too long."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
"I stopped in actually. No longer Bound and I've still be able to access this place." Giles grinned back at her.

"Indeed it is," Definite appreciative glance at her, "Always lovely, yes."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Giles smiled at her.

"Well, things have been quiet, though a spot of trouble back home." Then there were strains of music again. Oh God, not now.

Yet he ended up singing anyway.

"Demons are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup,
They slither wildly as they slip away across the Hellmouth.
Pools of blood, waves of screams are drifting through the opened world,
Possessing and distressing all.
Jai guru deva om
Something's gonna change my world,
Something's gonna change my world.
Something's gonna change my world.
Something's gonna change my world.

Beings of deepest dark which call before me like a million lies,
They call me on and on across the Milliways,
Evil meander like a restless storm inside my opened mind
It tumbles blindly as it makes its way
Across the Milliways
Jai guru deva om
Something's gonna change my world,
Something's gonna change my world.
Something's gonna change my world.
Something's gonna change my world.
"

He then facepalmed as he admitted, "Er... as I said, it hasn't been good mostly. A curse from my world's here obviously."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Giles grimaced, and he gripped her hand a little too tightly.

"It's worse. People feel compelled to tell their secrets in song, and dance, and then the curse worsens until they dance themselves into flames. A few had burned to death the last time this curse had shown up. And that was only because it occured in a small town, and we were able to stop him before it got worse."

At least, we thought we had stopped it.

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
"There was a talisman involved. Though mostly it was a matter of convincing him to leave through circumstances." Giles thought as he remembered.

He nodded, "Contagious in that anyone who can be affected by this particular demon's presence will be, and might burst into song at any moment." He cleared his throat some.

"...as was demonstrated just now."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
Giles nodded, "That's what I've been researching of late, going over my notes from the last time. And what I found since then."

He added with a dark and strange light in his eyes, "I think it might take more than just mere convincing this time."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
That darkness remained some for a moment. Like Ripper, and yet, flickerings of something worse. The grip on her hand might be borderline painful.

Giles blinked, and it was gone again in the depths of his blue eyes.

He then smiled with some gratitude, and now the grip on her hand was considerably less, light and comfortable, "I know, have more people here to help as well."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
Specks of something powerful, and evil. Something that was somehow traded some days ago.

Giles nodded, and gave her a warm smile, "Of course, thank you."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
It could be helpful for this, or something else. Something that was hinted at, or troubles elsewhere.

He gave a warm smile of appreciation at her.

"So how are you? Besides happy with everything coming into full bloom?" He then realized that could be taken the wrong way.

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Giles smiled back, and brought their clasped hands up so he could kiss her hand.

"Of course, this is your time, and must have much to do now."

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, that's certainly delightful news."

Giles remarked, and leaned over to gently kiss her.

[identity profile] watcher-g-man.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Giles put his arms around her waist to pull her close as he kissed her deeply back. Nothing like fun ways to spend one's free time, and relax.

After a few moments, he broke away to remark, "Perhaps we should continue this conversation elsewhere?"

[Sloowtime, but...hadta...]

There's another being relaxing. Or at least drinking. Water if anyone wants to know, though the rainbows that sheet through the liquid don't help identify it.

How does Wish look to another Being? Perhaps it doesn't matter, as Wish seems absorbed in the leaves she has in her hand, strangely blue with sheeting sparkles..but obviously Ash leaves.

One is in her water.

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, direct comments are well known for getting attention. There's spring in her skin, summer in her eyes, fall in her smile and winter in her hair. And yet...none of those. She's a girl on th very edge of woman hood, or perhaps just past...it doesn't matter really.

"Hello, Eostre" she offered. It was one of her parlor tricks, knowing names.

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Common case" she admitted a bit distractedly. The leaf is spinning now, dancing among the rainbows in her glance.

"You wish you were still what you once were...is it so terrible, who you are now?" she asked curiously, then her eyes meet Eostre's fully. Eostre knows her.

Everyone does really, given a chance to admit it to themselves.

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
"No, they could not, nor would they pay what was necessary to be restored" she shrugged, turning on her stool entirely to watch her companion. "Whiners" she added, a small smile curling her lips.

She lives among worse though.

If live is the term.

Her hand reaches up, tucking an Ash leaf in Eostre's hair.

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
he leaf practically humms, so much potential in it, so much grace and love. That Ash tree is Wishsgreatest friend, and she's well cared for...even if living on the street of gods had shifted the leaves a bit.

"You are remembered" she noted. "Especially here." she grinned, tapping Eostre's lips with a finger "Beautiful."

"I grant"

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
"I as well" she noted softly. It's not...as lonely here. People rarely seem to Wish anymore, no imagination. No hope.

No willingness to pay cost.

Yes, it can sing if Easter wants it to. She'd like Maple no doubt.

"And it seems I waner in here as well" she noted with a chuckle. "So many people here who never forgot how to dream..."

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-28 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
"True" Wish should talk to Dream. They are cousins of a sort, and she gets lonely...

...but she has Maple.

"Yes, satisfyng, with far more meaning. The people are hollow now...ghosts." she mused quietly.

[identity profile] weighted-wishes.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Perhaps" she agreed quietly. "Far less threatening them. No haunts in the night, no bogey men" she chuckled.

Of course there still were in Nightside, but Wish didn't restrict herself to tha single, soul stealing area.

"Though perhaps they are more like seeds that empty husks...no sun to awaken them anymore"
