*Snow and the kids enter Milliways, aquire food from Bar, and head for a booth*

Ember waves at Snow and the cubs.

"Shade and sweet water."

*Snow smiles*

Good evening, Ember. How have you been?

Ember smiles back.

"I'm better, now that I have a few things off my mind."

She tilts her head.

"Where is your lifemate tonight?"

Oh? Like what?

Bigby's working out some paperwork on the cells back at the House. He may be in later.

Ember nods about the Bigby part.

She blushes.

"Just some... relationship stuff."

All right. *Snow's put up with enough gossip back home to know not to push it*

*Snow sips her iced tea and glances around the bar*

It's unusually quiet tonight. Odd.

Ember looks around.

"I suppose it is. I really don't mind. Too much excitement can some times lead to trouble."

That's true. I appreciate quiet nights here, but sometimes the silence is almost, I don't know, ominous. Milliways tends to keep you on your toes.

Ember nods.

"Very true."

*Upon seeing Raph enter, Snow glowers*

Ember, could you watch the kids for a minute? I need to go yell at Raph.

"Of course."

Ember sits by the cubs, smiling kindly at them. She runs a hand through their solt hair. Her smile gets a tad sad, but she doesn't let the children see that. She glances over occationally to see if Snow is okay.

*Millie smiles and Wade gurgles happily*

*Snow returns, looking much calmer*

*she gathers the twins and heads for the painting portal*
