*Yrael enters from the back corridor, carrying his violin and wearing his fedora. He wanders over to the bar and, reading from a slip of paper, asks for some sheet music of a song he heard mentioned a few days ago. The music obligingly appears, resting upright against a barglass. Yrael murmurs his thanks. The music is arranged for two violins, a viola, and a cello, but as Yrael is the only one playing, he does his best with one violin. He begins working his way through Bach.*

A glass of milk, please Bar. *it appears beside the music* Thank you much.
*he sips from it, sets the glass back down, then goes back to practicing. He is not used to reading music. He had always just made it up on the spot.*

"You're that cat, aren't you."
It's not a question.

"Oh, that's right. You're an eight foot pillar of flames."

I am Yrael. I am me, and all that comes with that.

She looks at the thing in his hands.
"What is that you are playing? The music is beautiful."

"Hello."
She turns back to Yrael. "I mean the intrument."

"Hello Yrael." She gives him a smile, sitting down nearby. Edielweiss blinks at him, whiskers twitching as she sniffs in his direction.

*He sets down the violin bow for a moment to reach over, let Edielweiss smell him (as is polite), and ever so gently scratch behind Edielweiss' ears.*
And how is Edielweiss?

Svava gives Yrael a nod, then smiles at the kitten. "She's doing fine, starting to explore my room, now. Thankfully not that many things for her to get into trouble with.
"And I'm doing well, mostly. Just feeling a bit closed in, since I'm not that sure about taking Edielwiess out on a walk in the woods just yet."

If you take her outside, watch out for the demonic rabbits, would you?
no subject
"I won't be taking her outside then."
no subject
That would probably be best, for now. At least until she is old enough to fight back. *he grins. Another thing to teach.*
*politely, since Edielweiss is technically Svava's* May I hold her?

Good evening, Doctor. I remembered the music you mentioned the other day. Did the bar give me the correct music?

*he pauses in his playing to scratch the nearby kitten behind the ears and look thoughtfully at the music.*
The only problem is that this was written for four parts, and I am only one violin.
How are you, tonight, Doctor?

*he begins playing again* Did this Bach write any other pieces?
