Mal, chewing her lip and looking worried, is perched on a bar stool, thumbing through a large book. It appears to be 'Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Vampires'. Next to it is 'Crime Lords of the Twenty-First Century'. Because she suspects she is in a lot of trouble. And is possibly going to die.

So. Come take her mind off things?

Sansa gapes dumbly. Then she murmurs, "Ah, I'm...glad...that you survived. Sir."

It's a very robotic response. The smile she gives the vampire is a bit more genuine, but she's still struggling with all this.

Sansa tries to shrug. It comes out more like a twitch. "I am often that way, it seems. And yet the first person I met here told me this was a place of rest." She chuckles, even though she knows it's not funny.

Sansa stills when Mal touches her. Her gaze lingers on Mal's hand, then moves up to his face.

"I meant what I said in the bar. You may call yourself equal to me, but in my mind you are a true knight. Thank you," she whispers.

Sansa's returning smile is fainter, but echoes that happiness.

It does not reflect the sad, dark thoughts within her mind. I hope you do not sink so low as to ever call yourself my equal. Sansa is ever so good at hiding her true mind.
