The Morning After The Day Before
*When David walks downstairs today, his disposition is incredibly different. His step seems to have a bounce in it (almost) and he's smiling again, his dark eyes sparkling. He makes his way to the bar and sits down comfortably, smiling to the other patrons.
Today, he has decided, is a Very Good Day*

Ember looks over at David, smiling.
"You seem to be in a good mood. I take it things worked out ok?"
no subject
Ooh, Gil/Ember thread! *reads*]
Ah, good day to you, my dear!
*he smiles widely at her*
I would have to say that yes, it all worked out rather well. Even some things considering, it appears that my darling beloved forgives me for my mistakes and loves me nonetheless.
Have you spoken to Gil yet?
no subject
"I'm glad to hear that it worked out. As for the Gil thing, yes, but do you mind if I tell you another time?"
[ooc: as in I have no idea what is going to happen!]

Ah, so something has happened, but you're not sure yet of the outcome? I'm glad for you, too, then. I do hope it will work out for you, my dear.
I don't think I thanked you properly for yesterday. *he takes her hand and kisses it* Talking to you was most helppful.

Ember blushes. Kissing is something foreign to elves.
"It was no problem."
no subject
Ah, but you didn't have to. Such an admirable thing, selflessness. And I do owe you so much. I might have just sat there until I couldn't bear the sun any longer.
So I have much to be thankful for.
*he smiles at her*
And it was indeed a pleasure.

She smiles. "I should really be thanking you."
no subject
And why should you be thanking me?
no subject
[ooc: even though ember can't write! *grins*]

Ah, and he responded to the note?
no subject
"No. Which is kind of good, since I wouldn't be able to read it."
"I spotted him by the lake this morning and went up to talk to him."
no subject
*he shrugs*
However, you have spoken with him? I'm glad to hear it... very glad indeed.

Better than I could have ever hoped, my good man! He's a good...
man? boy? lover?
I love him. He loves me. I don't think I've been happier. And I have a good few people to thank, and you are, indeed, one of those.

Ah yes. We were making the whole bar sick again, were we?
Can't say that I'm complaining, mind you.
no subject
"Ah, can't really blame you. I'd rather see you like this than the pair of you moping."
Yes, he's a hypocrite.
no subject
*he grins*
I see your point, though.

Oh, indeed. Well, I'll see what I can work out if he starts playing dirges again.
As for my dearest, he's still asleep, I do believe.
At least for now.
Circumstances are better off being kept to ourselves, though.
*and he grins cheekily, blood rushing to his face*

Yes, well. I'll not be speaking very much then, shall I?
Actually, my good fellow, I was wondering if I might ask a favour of you?
