[the last week or so of Delia's afterlife has proven to be very, very interesting and not, ultimately, in a good way]

[bewarned, then, those who might wish to talk to her. The lady is annoyed, and prone to snapping]

[this is not to say, however, that she doesn't want to talk to people, merely that the bitch!risk factor has gone up]

I'll give it a month or so to let Lilly calm down.

Goldy scratches her head, vaguely accepting, but also a little bemused.

"Just how close are they?"

You're asking me?

Shrug.

"I just thought..."

She thought things that Delia probably doesn't want to be reminded of. Like the fact that she apparently dated him until the moment he left. Which would put her in prime position to know exactly what relationship Indy and Lilly have.

"It doesn't matter."

They are close. I am naturally cynical about relationships with pretty teenage girls, so anything I say is just speculation.

[she rubs her head, wearily]

Although that would make some sense, I guess. Gods only know how bitchy I used to be to Alex.

When one has little to no sexual standards, a big age difference doesn't even merit a blink.

"The oddest couples form bonds here," she admits. "Of all kinds."

[Delia met Roger when she was a fourteen-year-old convent girl]

[two years later she was his mistress]

[she's cynical]

Now, that's the truth.

She heaves a sigh, not really sure how she can be of help. She doesn't think much of Jones, but she's not going to air that. She has no further commentary on whatever Indy and Lilly's relationship is. And she's not going to offer to placate Lilly. Not that she doesn't think she could, but taking sides is a dangerous game for someone without a favorable reputation to start with.

"Well, Deels, if you want someone to hang out with while you're keeping your head down, or just a drinking buddy, or... someone to hug..."

A smile is all the end of the sentiment gets. And that's all it needs.

'Deels'? I've had Dee, DeeDee, Dell, 'Lia...but never that one.

"Variety is good." She grins. "I like to be unique."
