There's a vampire on a couch over there. Not by the fire, but on that's a little more shadowed. And, like his icon, he's watching the bar from his lazy post.

He hasn't been in the bar very much, but he's in now. And, if he's staring at you, well there's usually a reason.

There's an agreeable nod. "And food for my kind." Because it's far easier to lead someone out of the club when they've been drinking.

"Vampire then?" she smiles, Amanda hasn't had too many problems with vampires and this one seems more well tempered then those she has had problems with.

There's a grin, though it doesn't show fang. "Yep. Have been for a couple thousand years."
Most of the vampires from Aubrey's world are well tempered. If they aren't they make it easier for the witches to hunt them down.

Vampires on his world are hunted by witches? Interesting.

"Impressive. Or are vampires of your age common on your world?" she thinks that perhaps they are as they live in peace with each other. At least to a degree.

The have the slightly heightened strength and are trained to deal with the mental tricks. Though that doesn't stop some humans, once they've learned about vampires, to train and try hunting on their own.

"The older you get the few there are of that age group. Constant territory battles, or just pissing each other off can wipe us out as fast as those who hunt us." There's a slight shrug. It's a natural selection that lets those as old as Jaguar live as long as they do. Which would be close to the ten thousand age.

Fools really. Okay maybe it's for their own survival but still Amanda like's this vampire as far as she can tell.

Wow, that's some life span, "It's much the same way for my kind. Granted our lives are centered around the fact that in the end there can be only one of us left."

Aubrey's can be very polite when he's not sure what he's dealing with. And, since he's stuck in the bar, that politeness shines through better.

Siete is older, but he's not technically a vampire. Though he's the one that created the vampire lines. Aubrey's brow raises slightly. "It's a stipulated fact that there is only one allowed left? That's some inheritance for you."

"One that must be earned. Know one knows how long it will take for there to be only one but that one will possess the power of every immortal that has come before. It is quite the prize. But the game has been going on for over 5000 years."

"What are the vampires of your world like?" as she knows many different kinds.

"No one has thought that maybe there is no end to it? I mean, do more of your kind popping up as time goes on or is there a set number?"

He gives a small tilt of his head. "Cruel, and mostly loners when it comes to the human world. Some deal in human slave trade." There's a small shrug. "Though, the personalities can range as much as a human's can."

"New immortals are appearing. But not with any frequency. It's how it's always been. The rules of the game are taught to us by those that find us. And there have been those that have suggested such a thing as well as preached to stop the fighting and the killing and they end up dead."

"That is to be expected." she grins. "It's the same for us."

"Well, what some forget is that until there isn't any fighting, even while they preach for peace, they should still fight those who come at them. There will always be opposition, especially to a voice that cries peace."

He nods, a small smile on his lips. "One of the few things that stays with us through the change and long lives."

"And many of us do interact without killing eachother. I rather not fight unless I have to. But I will kill to survive."

Smiling as she rememebrs how Rebecca tried to break her of her bad habit of taking what doesn't belong to her, "Yes somethings don't change even when you become immortal."

"Most that know how precious life is, even when it lasts for thousands of years will kill when backed into a corner. Survival instincts and all that."

He gives a grin. "Gives everyone a distinctive spice to them I think."

"Yes. If everyone were the same life would be so dull." she gives a laugh as her cell phone goes off. Looking at it it's the alarm, "Seems that duty calls. It has been a real pleasure meeting you."

Aubrey gives a small bow of his head. "A very nice pleasure. Take care."
