Post breakfast shifts are decidedly more fun than the graveyard pre-breakfast shift. For a start, there's a little less tiredness, but as there's more people around, it's also a lot less boring.
Not that Mel tolarates boring for long. Take now, for instance. Your Security officer for the morning is in a section of open floor by the observaton window, attempting to build a house of cards. It's a training exercise, see? Steady hands, all that toy.
She's not as good as it as she'd like.

"Wimp. You just don't want me to whup your ass." But she's laughing as she says it.

"My reputation might suffer..." she protests.

"You have a reputation?" She askes, eyebrow up.
"Oh, you meant as a hard fighter. You owe me for dumping me on my ass in the mud!"
