Richard's at the bar with a pint of lager and a distinct lack of children. He's leaning back on the barstool and toying with a red ring on his thumb.

"That was the reason he was called into being. More often he dances, plays the flute, and brings joy. He really spoils us quite lavishly."

She quickly finishes her blood before it grows cold.

Cold wasn't good.

"Then maybe I'll look for him," she says slowly. She doesn't much trust Richard.

He doesn't completely trust her either, but he likes her well enough.

Then, he thinks of something.

"I wonder if someone could make you like Joshua. He's a vampire, but he grows like any other child."

She tilts her head.

"How is that possible?"

"I don't know, but it's true. I got him as a newborn, and he's a small boy now."

"Was he made a vampire or is he something else?"

While being in this place, she had learned that her kind was not the only kind of vampire to exist.
