Despite the fact that the mun should be studying, Raina's in bar. More specifically, she's sitting on a table. Why is said werewolf sitting on the table? Because she's playing a rather elaborate game of cards. It's a form of solitaire, but as there are hundreds of different kinds, it might be hard to guess. Though if it helps, it looks like she's using two decks.

Feel free to find out which one by coming over and asking.

"Meet him once."

Pack is always good. It's nice to have people that care for you, and you them.

"That's cute."

Zuko's whole expression goes from hesitant-teenage-boy confusion about the parental role his mentor's playing to sudden thundercloud.

He and Wells are not cute. Shut your mouth.

"Hrmph."

His expression just makes her grin more. Pissing people off is an art with her. Though every so often she does it unintentionally, which just makes her more amused.

"Say something wrong?"

"Cute."

He takes offense at that, apparently.

She gives a raised brow at him. Though the amused look is still on her face.

"Men aren't allowed to be cute?"

He cocked a brow, and turned his scar from her again, hands on his his hips in a position of sulky defiance. "No," he says. They're not cute. They're masculine, or handsome, but cute was for children, baby animals, and occasionally, home decor.

Unless you are as close as Raina is to psychotic. Then things like bleeding, fighting, and people dieing can be cute. It's all in how the mind works really.

"Why not?"

Zuko wouldn't call those things cute. Some of them might be a great work out, but... not cute.

"Because," he says. Does he have to spell it out? He looks like he's had his face pressed to a grill. He's not cute. "It's insulting."

He probably doesn't have to, but it's much more fun for Raina to make people do so.

"Why is it insulting? Girls go out of their way to be cute, but it's bad for guys to be?"

In this case though, she never really did understand this section of thought in a man.

"If other people want to be? Fine for them. I'm not." He's speaking for himself, thanks. Not the rest of the world.

He's fugly. He knows it. End of the cute story.

... worse thing, really, is that he knows he was cute at one time. (OR handsome. Or SOMETHING attractive...) HE's just not anymore.

"Says who?"

Raina sees scars and wounds as not something to be ashamed of, but something that gives a person character. Doesn't really affect their cute factor to her.

"You're being oblique on purpose," Zuko accuses. He doesn't want to spell out what's all over his face.

"You think so? I can't just be trying to understand how you think and why?"

She's got the innocent eyes going now.

Well, no? He has to actually think at that. "I don't know why you'd try," he finally admits. Who cares about how HE thinks.

Raina cares how everyone thinks. Makes them more predictable that way. Which means fun toys to her. "Because I like understanding things.

He seems, somehow, to doubt that.

"...well," he says, somehow ill at ease with this new attention to his appearance and his thinking, "I-- I'll let you return to your game, miss."

And bows his head a little, a nod of poilteness, and seeks escape.

Raina nods politely as well.

"Have a good night."

She's even polite enough to wait until her head is down studying the cards, hair hiding her face before she smirks. It is fun to set people off.

[due to parents, I must ask for slowtime. *begs*]
