The Steward of Gondor is in the bar tonight, doing what one generally does in a bar:
Drink.
He seems... curiously blank tonight. Neither in a good mood or a bad. Simply... somewhat detatched. Deep in thought. Daydreamy.
Security badge is, as usual, clipped to his belt and in plain view.
Lost in thought he may be, but he always welcomes company.

"Thank you, my friend. It was a long life without her. She is lovely--and kind, and brave. I hadn't realized you were friends, but it seems impossible that it should be otherwise. And your brother is employed by--Lilly, did you say?"
His smile turns slightly wry, and he laughs.
"Keep an eye on that, perchance. Lilly is a fine girl, though prone to some wild ideas."

"Thank you, friend, but nay. This will keep me for the night, I believe. And aye, the work these few days has been rather busier--two of my workers left last week and I've no idea when they will return. It is, of course, not their fault, but the door, I believe, pulled to them."

buggered offgone *cough*."Oh, drawn indeed. I am, as my brother will attest, notoriously fond of all living things. I have feared being in the way of things."

"I would be more than happy to see you if you would stop by--if you are not displeased with our small stables. They are not grand, but they are comfortable, and there are some fine animals cared for there."

And indeed, Caspian with his intent grey eyes and hay-gold hair, standing straight and tall and true, might well pass as one of the Rohirrim.
His smile, now, is encouraging.
"Aye, do. I would greatly appreciate the company. Tell me, my lord, do you know much of ship-building and woodwork?"

Upon Caspian's next question he takes on a thoughtful expression. "As it happens, I do know a little of both skills. My mother's people and my distant ancestors were of the sea, though I confess my knowledge is all from books. I have had no firsthand experience. Of woodwork I know a little more, and have some experience in it, by necessity. Why?"

"While the work could be done on my own, I'm sure you'd agree that it passes much more quickly, and far more pleasantly when it is done with a friend."

The truth is Faramir gives himself far too little credit: he is more than capable with woodworking, and picks up new crafts quickly.
