(no subject)

Wells comes in from the back door, a large black and white Malamute at his heels. The dog may look familiar to people who know Zuko at all, or then again, maybe not. She usually looks happier than this.

He stops at the Bar to get himself breakfast and the dog a bowl of something decent to eat, then looks around for a spot to sit.

Nothing brightens up a mans day like seeing someone he doesn't trust...right?

At anyrate she doesn't look particularly perky today. Rather she looks tired almost like she has been beaten up. Having taken a seat at the bar she notices Sergeant Wells when he comes by, "Morning." she greets him. THough it was night for her she saw the sun was up when he came in.

Suppose it really has been a while. She really does need to be more social. She's almost become a hermit.

"How have you been?" and noticing the dog she reaches down to let him smell her, "Who's this?"

Whatever he said she understands it as she speaks Arabic amoong many other languages.

Nodding, "Yes. I'll be coming here as long as Bar will have me." she says with a smile, "I'm glad you survived." she says sincerely but looking at him with concern, "How long has it been for you?" again everything about her is more subdued today.

"Not quiet." not that he needs that reaffirmed, "How are things back home?" her english accent a bit heavier then the last time they spoke. He may not notice given how long that it's been but the change is still their.

Amanda frowns. More upset that he is being hunted then at his distrust of her. Shaking her head, "I don't wish you any harm. Never had."

Despite the fact he doesn't trust her she still wants to offer what help she can, why...guilt of course.

Sipping her smoothie, "Be sure not to contact people that they know you are close to and only use cash." he may already know this but she wants to help and it's all that comes to mind at the moment.

Wow, that actually hurt. What is happening to her. SHe hopes it's just a phase. "Just trying to help." standing up, "I guess I'll leave you be then. But if you are from the same world as I am and get in a bind you can find sanctuary at my club." rather apprapot.

She isn't smiling and she doesn't expect himto take her up on the offer but she makes it all the same.

She certainly looks familiar to the girl in a black morning dress, eating breakfast at a table near the edge of the bar. Jocasta smiles to see her, but the smile fades into puzzlement when her gaze progresses naturally up to her companion.

That's not Zuko.

Ok, she can be friendly. Definitely. Jocasta smiles brightly up at him. "Morning, Sir!" she says brightly. "Lovely day out, isn't it?"

She was out in it training at dawn, but not at the stables while Ennis is gone, as she's certainly not supposed to be there in any official capacity

Jocasta grins back down at Xu Ning. Knuckles are offered for inspection should she wish to, but the Assassin doesn't really expect much reaction.

"Where's her master, today?" she asks, idly.

[identity profile] treadingturds.livejournal.com 2006-05-18 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That's fine. The hand offers a brief pat, if she'll have it, then it's retracted.

The other news is, perhaps, less than fine. Jocasta's smile freezes only slightly. Why should she expect him to say goodbye, after all?

"Oh," she says politely. "Well, I do hope he finds him, then."

[identity profile] treadingturds.livejournal.com 2006-05-18 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Really?" Jocasta asks, curiosity mixing horribly with propriety. Right now, curiosity wins. "Sense about what, may I ask?"

Maybe it doesn't. But Jocasta's family is more or less her entire world, so she doesn't see this as being quite something he can just 'get over', however this man implied it.

"It must be very hard for him," she says. A rather useless excuse, maybe, but something tells her she should try and defend him a little. "It's a terrible thing."

The whole situation, what she knows of it.
