Rose Tyler, at the Bar, with -- you guessed it -- chips. Also, people-watching, which is a verb and not a noun so therefore she is not with people-watching, but merely is people-watching, in case clarification was required.
She is very bored and would like distractions, plz.

She grins again and takes one for herself.
"Well -- originally. I think it's 2007 back home proper, now. Time-traveller," she explains, with a touch of pride. Milliways is, she thinks, one of the few places she can say that without people going bzuh? too much.

"So they invent time travel by 2005? Or did someone come back in time and pick you up?
"And if so, did they write about in in the Times? Front page?"

She munches on a chip thoughtfully before answering, "Don't know about the future, exactly. It was the Doctor -- he's from another planet, though. An' I doubt it. People just thought I was missin' for a year. Put posters up 'round the estate an' things."

"Sorry to hear you were missing, though. But you found you, right" He wonders how she was gone for a year when people in time travel movies always return to the exact time they left. But holds the question.

Quite a good-looking human, but she doesn't add that.
Amused, she nods. "Yep. Wasn't a year for me, though. Time travel's all weird, y'see. Lose track of how long 's really been." She shrugs. "I go by whatever it is for my mum, usually."

"I guess time travel is like coming here in reverse. I come into the bar at 3 pm on a Tuesday, and stay for a month, and when I leave, it's 3:01 pm on that same Tuesday. Messes like hell with my sleep schedule."

...well, exclusive to Time Lords and Agents, anyway. Or something.
She laughs at that. "Heard time doesn't move for people. I only came here in the TARDIS anyway. But yeah -- sorta reverse of that, I guess. Reckon that makes you older by however long you stay here, then? Or d'you just go by home's time?"
