Butters told me that playing the guitar would be good therapy for my hand. Unfortunately, didn't bring the guitar along with me. So, I figured I'd ask the bar if she could loan me one. She did - she even included a copy of the book Butters had given me. "Thanks."

So now, I'm sitting in a corner, in a comfortable chair, playing the guitar... badly.

So far, Thomas is the only person who's ever been able to tolerate the sound longer than a couple minutes without asking me to stop. And I think he's just being polite.

She brings a hand up to his face as they kiss and she runs her thumb over his cheek.

"Mmmm. That's always nice."

And look at that - I managed to get that chord. Okay was that because of her? The kiss? Or just sheer determination?

A combination of the three perhaps?

Angie smiles and places a small kiss against the corner of his mouth.

"Very nice."

[wizard_dresden]

"The kiss or the chord?"

[capt_angie]

"Both," she says, smiling at him. "Proud of you."

[wizard_dresden]

"Thanks." And I feel my cheeks flush.

[capt_angie]

She grins at him as he turns red.

"That colour suits you," she says teasingly.

[wizard_dresden]

"Very funny."

I try the chord again - not so much luck this time. Damn.

[capt_angie]

"Why don't you put the guitar down for a bit."

[wizard_dresden]

I look up. "You have something else for us to do?"

[capt_angie]

She smiles coyly.

"Maybe..."

[wizard_dresden]

I might be able to take a break from my guitar playing.

"Care to enlighten the tired wizard?"

Guitar's set aside though, by the way.

"Always," she says softly. And then she's sitting on his lap and leaning in to kiss him as the fingers of one hand stroke the back of his neck and her other hand reaches for his gloved one.

Ya know, one day, I'll get used to having pretty girls sitting in my lap. It still shocks the hell out of me when it happens.

Funny thing - I know she's holding my hand, but I still can't feel it. Stupid scars.

She keeps holding his hand anyway, whether he can feel it or not.

She rests her head on his shoulder amd whispers "Love you," softly into his ear.

"Yeah? You too."

I turn my head and press my lips to her forehead.

[capt_angie]

"Yeah."

She sighs, and leans against him, content to stay there for a long while yet.
