and I'm missing a pup of mine.

Head tilt. "Saurbulbsaur saursaur. Bulbasaur." It sniffs the air. "Saurbulbasaur, saur?"

Um.

"I'm Wolf."

"Saursaur Bulbasaur, saur." The creature stands, bows, and then sits again.

"Saurbulbasaur, saur?" it asks once more. "Bulbabulbasaursaur, saurbulbasaur." The pokémon looks around, and sniffs, and looks at Wolf again. "Saur?"

"Saur? Or is it Bulbasaur?"

...It's a little disconcerning to see a four-footed plant-dragon (Wolf has no concept of dinosaurs, and dragons are closer) stand up on two legs and bow.

"I'm looking for my pup. His name is Harold; he's just a little pup. About yea high."

Eee, well, actually it's more of the type of bow a horse would do, really - drawing one leg back and dipping the front half forward, but who's counting? Bulbasaur's not quite bendy enough for the other sort.

"Bulbasaur," it nods. It thinks for a moment. "Saursaur bulba saursaur, bulbasaur?"

It met someone fitting that description in the woods a few days ago... a very nice little boy who spoke decent pokémon-ese...

A vine snakes out from the base of the bulb on the creature's back and points toward the lake-door. "Saursaur bulba, saur."

"The lake? ...Cripes, I hope he's not outside all the time. He might get sick! Thanks Bulbasaur! Could you take me to where you saw him?"

"Saur saur, bulbasaur." the pokémon says, soothingly. "Saur bulba bulbasaur saur, bulbasaursaur." Its little friend didn't look particularly neglected or anything, so Bulbasaur is quite sure Harold is being taken care of adequately.

The creature leads the way outside, then toward the garden. A short distance from the garden gate there's a shrub that's been roughly shaped into the semblance of a six-tailed fox.

"Saur bulba bulbasaur, saur saur." it says, nodding.
