*low whistle*

Say what you like about the traffic getting here, but it was worth it for the décor alone. Oh, bugger, am I one of the first ones here? Can't have that - demons are always fashionably late.

P.S. Death, I know where you can find some cheats for MarioKart.

I believe dinner is on you, this time?

[identity profile] aj-crawley.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright, but don't think I'm paying for more than one Pan-Galactic apiece. Wine's good enough back at the Ritz, and it'll do just fine here.

[identity profile] a-fell.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Really, my dear, I was merely humouring you last time. I find the sensation of... what was it again? I'm sure the waiter said something about gold bricks, but the memory's slightly hazy. In any case, it wasn't particularly to my taste. Wine would be delightful.

Have to admit I'm relieved, angel. The Pan-Galactic really is more of an... experience, than a drink. A once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.

Wine it is then. European or New World? Or, you know, in a place like this, I'm willing to bet if we dug deep enough into our pockets they might be able to come up with a bottle of Atlantean.

[identity profile] a-fell.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
For Atlantean, I'd certainly be willing to chip in.

Reminds me of... an old friend.

Speaking of whom, where DID Islington end up? Last I heard, there was a ruckus under London whilst we were off mucking with American polling boxes, and when we got back, there wasn't a trace of him.

[identity profile] a-fell.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
To be honest, Crowley, I haven't the foggiest. And... what, exactly, is this "we" you speak of? I don't remember messing with any...

Oh.

Oh, yes.

Well, it was all for a good cause.

[identity profile] aj-crawley.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
'Spose it all worked out alright in the end. You got Saddam done away with, and I got to kick international harmony so far off the radar that I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up here. Still, I'll not be sorry to set this project down come... November, isn't it?

[identity profile] a-fell.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I believe so, yes.

Do you know if that Bush fellow is scheduled to end up in your "arena", as it were?

[identity profile] aj-crawley.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd imagine so, although Down Below are keeping rather quiet on the subject - embarrassment, probably.

Although, come to that, he'd fit in quite well with some of the smite-first types Up Above.

Yes, well you know my feelings on those...

Ah well.

Ineffability.

[identity profile] aj-crawley.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugh. Atlantean wine may be the strongest around, but I'm still too sober to talk about sodding ineffability. Another glass?

[identity profile] a-fell.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Tempter...

Go on then. Just a small one.

[identity profile] aj-crawley.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
We've paid for the bottle, angel, and even my liver couldn't handle a whole bottle of Atlantean. And isn't waste a sin?

Anyway, cheers. To... absent friends.

[identity profile] a-fell.livejournal.com 2004-06-30 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
And isn't waste a sin?

In this case? Most definitely.
