Steph's sitting in the rafters. Not, for once, out of any particular desire to Lurk; things are going well, lately. Just out of a vague feeling that if she doesn't spend some time up high in the shadows she'll go crazy.

Besides, she likes the rafters. They're quiet and warm and comfy - well, comfy compared to rooftops, at least - and you can see almost everything going on below.

"So really I oughta be knocking you out and taking you in?" Steph enquires, grinning. "Nah, my sister's a thief. How can you be both, though?"

"By not being a good Jedi," He smiles wryly. "I'm more or less the black nerf of the Order."

"Really? How come?"

Steph has learned a little of tact. Just ... y'know, not much.

Atton gives her a Look.
"Thieving, smuggling, conning and mercenary work are sorta frowned upon."

"So why didn't you stop?" SIMPLE SOLUTION, SILLY.

"Because I don't want to. The kriffin' Order isn't going to decide what I do."

"Okay, okay! Geeze, you're touchy." She tilts her head, studying him thoughtfully. "So why don't you stop being a Jedi, then?"

"Because," He makes a vague hand gesture. "It's a rebuilding order, they need all the Jedi they can get, and it's a steadier income and supply of food and shelter than I can get being a thief."

"Okay. That's cool. What about piloting? What did you fly?"

"I flew a fighter in the Mandalorian Wars. Very fast, very good at blowing up Basilisk Droids," He shrugs again. "These days I fly freighters, and that's about it."

"Huh. Well, I'd say you were being useless, but it's not like I do anything much either. Milliways, home of the lazy." She grins, and reaches for more chocolate.

"Pfft. How am I being useless?"

"Thieving and flying freighters when you could be blowing things up!" Steph explains, laughing with her mouth full. "As if you would!"

"Hey! Nobody ever said I didn't still blow things up," He grins. "After all, explosions are astral."

"That they certainly are," Steph agrees solemnly.
