Mel is still tiny. Still fed up of being tiny, and in the bar again. On the Bar, in fact. Doing a handstand on the edge of a shot glass and generally being pretty bored. Stupid evil geniuses.

"I know it's you," she says, not looking up.

"Evil genius can't even tell a shrink ray from a laser," she says. "Trying to work out a way of getting back that doesn't involve strange ray guns."

Now she has a tiny squirming Slayer in her fingers, batting at the with rather a lot of strength, actually. Not that Mel's trying too hard, at least not until she knows what this giant that just picked her up actually does.
"Get off me!"

"Sorry! Sorry! Are you okay?"

"Jesu. You do that to everyone you meet?"

"How many toys you know do handstands?"

That was a nasty fal, are you sure you're okay?" she asks biting her lip.

Well, there's no answer to that, is there? And Mel's lost her argument.
"Fallen from taller," she comtinues, with a shrug. Then she adds, "even in proportion."

Mary Anne is leaning on the bar a few seats over, thinking about her promise to Raina. It takes her a minute to notice Mel, but she recognizes the hair pretty quickly. She's seen her around often enough, plus she remembers the purple-haired girl-smudge that carried her in after she tried to kill Arithon.
"...didn't you used to be taller?"

Although Mary Anne's not sure she would have gone for a hight change herself.
"How's it working out for you?"
no subject
Well, it's honest.
"How are you?"
no subject
Her arm jerks like she's about to offer her hand to shake and then catches herself.
"I'm Mary Anne."
no subject
Right. Her.
"Hi. I'm Mel."
Smiling, she lifts a hand in a brief wave.

"Pleasure to meet you, Mel. So...what do you do when you're not vertically challenged?"
no subject
Which means she has to have words with Mary-Anne.
